Me and my brother love going on team matches online. But everyone we've encountered are some of the worst players I've ever seen in my life (and that's an understatement). We played about 25 - 30 matches with these one people, and me and brother won every single match. These people either spamed, did random attacks, did random spam attacks that killed them 11 times in a row (I'm not joking), or stood around attack nothing. They were so awful, I had to save some replays of the matches.
Me and my brother got about 50+ KOs each, and the other team had only like 10 - 20+ each. These were definitely the worst Smashers I've ever come across.
Smash Mains:

Melee: Mario
Brawl: Sonic
Project M: Link
Smash 3DS: Captain Falcon
Smash Wii U: Ganondorf
CPUs will always have that advantage. I mean they play according to their AI levels. They are machines programmed to pummel you.
Anyway, can someone shed some light? I'm going to finally buy my first amiibo. How does the training work? I know that you have to make it fight other CPUs and feed it stats, but how does it learn from the player itself?
I decided to play my Marth with Marth in FD stages, no items. I started out emphasizing my favorite moves and exaggerating my tendencies. I first realized that he was learning when he first ko'ed me. He used his down taunt, which was what i had been doing when i killed him. Now at lv 50 he plays like a better me; counters a ton, tries to dolphin slash and fails miserably, does exclusively down throw, and dolphin slashes when it's not necessary. All things I did while playing him. His AI is awkward in stages like Gaur Plains and with items on, though, he doesn't really care much about smash balls.

Well, of course. You never taught him to use items, so he gets really confused when they show up. Similarly, I did a bunch of team training with my Amiibos while my friend trained his 1-on-1 almost exclusively. As a result, his Kirby won almost every FFA while my Yoshi did the best in all team matches. Hell, my Amiibos almost consistently ended the team match-ups with three stocks between them (in a three stock match).
I've also noticed something. Is it just me, or are CPU grabs impossible to break free from(human players quickly punch you, throw you... that is, quick to release you, so I don't know whether it's me)? Seriously! I just have to hope they release me soon, for everything I do is useless - tapping every button and wiggling the CP.... I searched online, and wiggling the CP or L Stick shows up, but that doesnt work... at least, for me, so I hope IT IS the CPU.... Speaking of which, when the CPU grabs, they 90% of the time punch. Hmmm...
Another problem I seem to have is that every single one of the CPU is out to get me in free-for-all.When I get a Special Flag, they go after me,but when one of them gets it,no one tries to do anything to them and they gain a stock. Also,I still see them lining up around the edge of the stage after I have been launched off of it and not fighting each other at all.It really messes with me.
Hmmm.... well, basically, if anyone sees you with an S-flag, you are suddenly the comfiest punching bag. But yeah, sometimes the CPU act weird. They stop you from STOPPING OTHER CPU from gaining a point with an S-Flag. Wut?
Anyway, I'm happy that it's not me when it comes to dealing with a CPU grab. shrugs
Exactly. One time I got in a match and I tried as hard as I could to stop a CPU from gaining a life, but then everyone else felt like beating me up and I ended up turning off the item all-together.
Naww. Don't be like that Drobotic. It's all in the fun, and excitement of making a comeback. Surprisingly, I have other CPU beat up the S-Flag users. I rather like it when they get a +1 or extra life. Means I gotta work harder.
As for the grabbing. You know that the higher the percentage, the longer you're held? Well AI's are known for being unreadable, snap-reflex and fast in general. Grab a 0% LV9 CPU and the grab won't last long with the inputs every mini-second their activating to struggle out. I rather don't care about the grabs. I get out of them pretty well. And they don't grab then combo unlike people online or in general so the differences is kinda 50/50 between humans and CPU's.

Lucas could have a future if they released (or re-released) Mother 3 internationally, and Wolf having a big part in the next Star Fox game makes him a good candidate for DLC. We'll see. I feel like this Smash will grow slowly, though I'm not sure if that specifically means characters.
On the Diddy Kong topic, he was in my personal top five in Brawl, but I haven't played him so much in 4. Other characters are getting my attention more there days.
The character that seems difficult to fight against (and tbh its been weeks since I've played, been busy), was Villager.

@Tsuchinoko - Why Villager? What problem are you facing against them?
I dunno, I'm tired and haven't played the game in a while and about to get on a red-eye. Ill come back to the topic with full details. I might be remembering it weird and its probably issues I have playing as him.

Something that annoys me when I face Villagers online is everyone thinks they know how to use 'em. They still think riding on the rocket Lloyd then hopping off will still make the attack just as stronger as they were riding it.

I cannot for the life of me get used to using Pocket

What gives you that impression?
If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

Same, and I like using the Villager. I use the Lloyd rocket, but I don't really ride on it. I just sort of let it fly off and hope it hits someone. I'm personally more of a fan of planting a tree, having it grow, and instead of cutting it, going around attacking people with the axe.

I think that if they do DLC, key word being IF (I'm keeping my hopes extremely low.) I think it'd be some of the characters Sakurai had planned for the game but had to cut. It would probably be SLIGHTLY easier (I say slightly because making the characters would still be a bit hard) if they already got some of the character done at some point and still had the data, then just start right where they left off...though there's a good chance I'm entirely wrong about this, seeing as how I'm not a developer. Sigh...I can't help but feel that Wolf and Lucas were going to show up at one point, but were cut because they weren't as high a priority as Falco and Ness, because that's the only explanation I can come up with!

Only turned it off because after say, hitting someone with Samus's Dash Attack then pressing a button for jumping after them then using Up-Air. My second jump get's used for trying to use an Up-Air.

I was playing for fun for a few hours last night and I encountered a glitch. Some super spicy curry spawned and my 3 competitors went for it at the same time. They all got it, even though there was only 1 power up. So much fire! It was so bright (we were on the Mariokart 8 stage).

On the topic of DLC, I don't think Mewtwo is alone. I see at least one or two Veterans coming along with him, perhaps a few stages from 64/Melee/Brawl and one new stage. Then again, this is Sakurai, so he could have anything planned.
Also, for the record, I don't really think we'll be getting Newcomer DLC. Unless Sakurai wanted to end the series here or if the character was planned but never made it, couldn't that character wait until Smash 5?
I heard an interview somewhere saying this will be he's last Smash game. You could be right @PKNoUsernameHere, but remember that the 3ds and 2ds basically have no room anymore. Though it looks like 3 more characters can be slotted in the character screen for the 3ds version and one more stage as well. I wouldn't bet to much on it.

Actually, with Mewtwo added I could definitely see space for 4 or 5 more characters, not just 3. Still not having my hopes up, just pointing that out.
