@Xiao_Pai: Yeah, I don't like that Diddy Kong challenge either. Why does the rival have to be so tough? I understand it's supposed to be your rival, but it makes my Diddy seem too slow. I think I may have to practice more with him...
Like I said I think the CPUs cheat...used ten million smashes against him even when he was over 100% and can barely KO...I'm under 100% and guess what happens when he just throws me...yup...game over. Also I think he SOMEHOW dodged my meteor smash while using his rocketbarrel jet...ugh. T.T

Sorry to be a bother, but is anyone aware of any sales going on in the US for Smash (preferably online)? I've been looking for a little while now and have coe up short. ^^'
@NintyMan YES NINTYMAN, YOU DID THE THING! LOLOLOL You totally made my day!
@Captain_Toad Geez this Pac-Land stage. Is it even from a Pac-man game? Like the stage is baffling. I didn't think MS Paint drawings could get into a sophisticated game like Smash Bros.
gives up and tries a Rival Smash challenge...I swear these CPUs cheat...does this Diddy Kong weigh over 50 tons or something? :/
Diddy Kong suicided himself twice when I tried to do it. I guess I got real lucky. It's pretty annoying actually. I wish I could give you guys some tips on these challenges but it seems one truly needs luck for half of them.

Okay...I just needed to stop playing and vent some rage. I have just gone through Classic Mode as Palutena. Would you like to know how many times I ended up going up against Master Hand, Crazy Hand and Master Core? Six times. SIX. ****ING. TIMES! It was not an enjoyable experience, to say the least. What's worse is I lost BOTH of the Crazy Orders Passes I got, and because I didn't beat it at level 7.0 intensity, I now have to do it as Palutena ALL over again!...I think I'm not gonna do Classic Mode again for a while.
There is nothing here...except for the stuff I just typed...

In this version the challenges are less of a "I must complete them all myself, (preferably soon)" deal unlike in the 3ds version, which is more personal (and as such, the challenges are generally easier to accomplish).
These are more of a "they will happen slowly and eventually as me and more people play and use the game" kind of thing. They are there, they happen, they unlock things. Then I forget about them shortly afterwards.
And just because someone forgot to do this. Here's a pic of the day from the 26th.
Pic of the day. In the Gamer stage, the stage set-up will change at random. Here's Mom appearing from an easel. You'd better stay on your toes.
Mom even appears out of the TV. Sometimes she jumps out of it and walks around. It gets a little crazy. The guy in the far window is Grandpa, who acts as Mom's decoy. His wig is swaying.
Was Mariobro4. No, I'm not taking off my backpack...it's important.

Yeah I used a hammer on that one quick. With 49 characters there really shouldn't be any do X with all characters anymore.
Master & Crazy Orders are the fun ones, and event matches can be too, except some of them on hard are infuriating.

That's the other issue with the Wii U version, on the 3DS you basically could choose if you wanted to deal with Core or not...but here...EVERY, SINGLE, TIME.

"Cruel Smash is only more "Cruel" in the Wii U version because of the challenges attached. Luigi and Lucina aren't exactly the best characters for it and you have to survive for 1 minute and get 8 KOs or more respectively"
...Anyone know how to deal with the 450000 points in stage 3 of Target Blast? Even managed to get a Perfect and still didn't even get close. :/
I used Ganondorf. I did a few down airs and a down tilt then reverse punched it off the back wall, starting the punch while the bomb said 4. Then the second bomb, I did the same set up and an up-tilt, starting this one as the bomb was displaying a 2. This was a solid strategy, the first bomb taking out the top left or the entire left side and the second bomb destroying everything else, if done right, but the timing is very tight, and you have to do some silly stuff with the placement. You can afford to be a bit goofy with the placement of the first bomb, but the second one has to be exact. Too high and you'll miss the three targets on the bottom right. Too low and you'll miss some high targets or the ones on the left or in the middle. THIS WILL TAKE A LOT OF TRIES. Just keep at it. You essentially want to destroy as much as humanly possible with the second bomb, so you want to destroy only what you have to with the first. GOOD LUCK.

Ledge gaming is the cheap tactic. A smart Mac will wait for you, but most will charge you, at which point you have a few options. If they've used their Jolt Haymaker, just spot dodge. (Hold shield and press down) They'll most likely fall right over the edge. If they charge you, either assume it's not a grab and shield grab them or assume it is a grab and side smash them after. Just be careful. Mac is quick. If it wasn't a grab, they may turn around and smack you before you can hit back. In all cases, just try to keep Mac in the air and off the ledge. His recovery is pathetic, so even slightly pushing him back can mean death.
I finally survived a minute in Cruel Smash using Luigi. The trick I used was exploiting as many invincibility frames as possible. On one side, I hopped into the air to avoid the Miis, and then grabbed the ledge at the last moment. The key is to stay in air as long as possible by using the midair jump, then the Up+B attack to give just enough height to grab the ledge. Stay on the ledge as long as you're invincible, then dodge roll to the other side and repeat. Stay on the ground for as long as feasible, otherwise, your invincibility frames when you grab the ledge will be a lot shorter.
Formally called brewsky before becoming the lovable, adorable Yoshi.
Now playing:
Final Fantasy XIV (PC) | The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening (Switch) | Celeste (Switch)
@brewsky: I found surviving as Luigi pretty easy. Sure it took some tries but once you get hang of it it's easy. I survived for 1.5 minutes. I used side b to get stuck under the ledge after a couple of seconds you automatically grab the ledge and there's a good possibility all the Miis are near the ledge so you can kick them when you get up. It takes few seconds for them to get up so you have plenty of time to hop off again and repeat the process.
"Pic of the day.
