I can tell Sakurai seems hesitant or even wary of making more DLC, but things like this can always change. I'm sure if they really want to, Nintendo could provide the resources necessary to make it happen. I remember the Mario Kart 8 developers originally being hesitant about DLC too.
Yes, the MK8 DLC wasn't started until after MK8 had been released. Smash Bros U doesn't even have all the planned feature available yet, so they'll probably focus on that first.

Right. Besides, I distinctly recall them saying DLC would be an afterthought. Mewtwo gets a free pass because he's only there as a reward for those who get both versions. For now, let's just enjoy the game as it is. ONLY 2 MORE DAYS!

I don't understand, either, since the game isn't coming out in Europe until later. All I know is that it releases digitally at midnight Eastern time, and for me, midnight Central time because I'm buying physical.

Currently sitting at 94 on metacritic. Putting it as the best game on the Wii U. Looks like it'll be a good christmas for the Wii U!

I obsessed over new smash bros since it's announcement, and always looked at pic of the day and any new announcements, and watched the videos a lot but I suddenly feel a lack of interest
I don't have a wii u and even if I did I there are 14 different games (super mario 3d world, new super mario bros., mario kart 8, tropical freeze, wind waker hd, hyrule warriors, pikmin 3, wonderful 101, captain toad, kirby rainbow curse, splatoon, yoshi's wooly world, new zelda, shin megami tensei x fire emblem) I would choose before smash bros. at the moment.
I feel quite sad about it =(
