Just read an article on Yahoo!, that said that Little Mac's inclusion has "ruined" the game, because he's too powerful in For Glory mode (set on a single flat surface, his ground game is particularly effective and his aerial disadvantage doesn't come into play here, apparently), and that many fans are demanding he be nerfed in a patch.

This is the first time I've heard of this...

Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

Pffft. Bunch of noobs.

I love Sakurai, but there's no denying he's the probably one of the biggest hypocrites/liars in the gaming industry.

I'll give some examples:

-Says Smash 4's roster would be around the same size as Brawl's
-Said Smash 4 was unlikely to have new characters so he can focus on balance
-Says characters from a series that has no future are rarely chosen

Moral of the story: don't take Sakurai's word seriously... most of the time.

Smash Mains:
N64: Captain Falcon
Melee: Mario
Brawl: Sonic
Project M: Link
Smash 3DS: Captain Falcon
Smash Wii U: Ganondorf

IceClimbers

Noticed how Sakurai seems to be revealing the unlockables in the order you unlock them in Smash 3DS if you only do vs matches. That means ROB, Ganondorf, and Mr Game & Watch should be next. This might be just wishful thinking on my part, but the stars seem to be aligning for Bowser Jr and Duck Hunt to be revealed in a Smash Wii U Direct. I want to see a Duck Hunt trailer. Or they won't get trailers at all.

Well, they have to change plans didn't they?

That's not being a hyppocrite.
That's called changing your mind.

Moral of the story: people misinterpret his quotes and he changes his mind sometimes. That somehow makes HIM the hypocrite

Exactly, being a hypocrite and changing your mind are different. (҂⌣̀_⌣́)

But he changes his time so much, it's hard to trust him.

Also, more examples:

-Said Miis didn't seem right for Smash
-Said an Animal Crossing character in Smash would ruin the incenses of the franchise
-Said having Pac-Man playable would be farfetched

Like I said, it's hard to trust him because he changes his mind A LOT.

Maybe he said those things to keep us on our toes

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

So? That doesn't mean he shouldn't be trusted. Of course game designers are going to stick with the plan or change their mind. Heck, SSB64 was originally going to be Japanese exclusive.

Some people still think Sakurai is a magical developer fairy that has 100% control over all of the projects he's involved in I see.

I don't think he has full control. At the end of the day, Nintendo's the one who owns the game. They could probably boot him from the development if they wanted to...though I doubt they would, but they could!

He's the director. He's in charge of the project.

I know, but Nintendo still owns the rights to the game. It's their property. Then again, I'm probably just spouting out stupidity, because Nintendo would most likely never do that, and I probably have no idea what I'm talking about. And for that, I am sorry.

Sakurai is allowed to change his mind. It's being human.

I know, it's just when he says something, he always goes back and changes it to the point where I have to take what he's saying with a grain of salt.
