Okay, I'm taking requests for people on recording voice clips for any character from the Wii U and 3DS version. These voice clip requests can apply to any character, assist trophy, etc. I already have Rosalina & Luma on my list, so I'll take any others.

Again, there are perverts on Miiverse, INCLUDING in the Smash Bros. community. I don't know if anyone here has heard of this, but Miiverse After Dark is probably the best example of this.

Totally just looked that up. Amazing. I fully support this movement, but I also agree with and support the opposition.
A swap note stage would have been awesome. But then again nintendo is pretending that doesn't exist because a couple people used it for naughty things and punished everyone for it.

And what would you have done in their situation? Swap Note was used to distribute child pornography (at least that's how a court would view it). If Nintendo had left it on their servers, they could be sued or just outright arrested for having possession of child pornography. They couldn't AFFORD to leave that up. Be bitter all you want, but Nintendo doesn't actually have a choice in this one.
How about ban the Nintendo IDs using it for bad stuff? Or disable picture sharing? Not take down the entire messaging app for everyone. Microsoft doesn't get sued when people send rape threats through their messages, neither does Sony. Nintendo is just being overprotective as always. Same thing with them having an automatic filter on the new 3DS. They try to be everyone's parent. They did have a choice in the matter, they just took the easy way out.
Microsoft doesn't host the messages personally, and there are only so many times someone's "innocent, darling daughter" can expose themselves before the legal problems start flying. Not to mention Japan isn't exactly lenient on sex offenses. Especially not ones involving public indecency. It doesn't matter how many people you ban. If the problem is still occurring, you haven't solved the problem. Besides that, they still have to deal with child pornography being on their servers and the legal trouble that follows that.
At the end of the day, none of us really understand the full problem, as we aren't Nintendo, nor are we Japanese Lawyers. However, I still feel that Nintendo's response was reasonable. Swap Note will remain in development hell until Nintendo can find a good way of dealing with inappropriate content.
A good way to deal with inappropriate content? Take away picture messaging. Problem solved. But no, they took the easy, and lazy way out by shutting down the only form of friend communication on the 3DS. When people say Nintendo needs to get with the times, it's because of stuff like that. I'm surprised they haven't taken away messages on the wii u yet. Since people can send inappropriate content through text as well
