The fact of the matter is, if this was legit, Sakurai would not have two characters having an identical pose. That's more than enough reason to call it fake (to me).

lol it took me like 4 pages to find this "leak" everyone was talking about. Anyway, I'd say it's fake no matter what really, but the thing that easily gives away is Dr. Mario. There's just no way, unless the character roster has like 60 characters.

Mario is slacking. He needs to fix these so called "leaks"

I just don't understand why Sakurai would cut two perfectly good characters in Lucas and Wolf but add two clones like Dr. Mario and Dark Pit. It doesn't make much sense.

What makes you think that these Dr Mario and Pittoo would be more cloney than Wolf and Lucas were?

Anyway, again, did the leaker even try to sell that roster as the "final" 100% complete one?

Lucas, Wolf, and Luigi have often been praised as the least "cloney" clones in the series so far.

If you think the Stage Select and Character Select screens are plain/boring, they're exactly how they were in the demo I played except for the names

Why would they have the names with the characters at this size on a tiny screen?

Duck Hunt Dog doesn't seem too out there, considering the Wii Fit Trainer
Customization is off, so Mii Fighters aren't there

Don't even get me started on the Yoshi's Island pic with the characters on it.

Of course, it could still be fake but a few points. If it is fake, then I applaud the leaker

Dr. Mario is a 100% clone from Melee whose only difference is that his fireballs are pills. There's no reason he shouldn't be a costume. Dark Pit has no reason to not just be an alternate for Pit with a different voice.

Wolf and Lucas have almost no similarities with Fox and Ness except the names of some of their B moves. Ganondorf and Falco are more clone-ish, and according to this leak they're back.

My biggest problem is the lack of any new Donkey Kong characters, though. The franchise is big enough to deserve more than 2 reps. Certainly more than the 3 Kid Icarus will apparently have should the leak actually be real.

Wait isn't ridley a returning boss character? Or is it just me?

I get the feeling that no characters were cut since the 3DS version is only 2GB.

We'll see what happens. I want Lucas back, and although by now nothing we do can have an impact on the game since its by now finished production, over the next week I'll be marathoning Mother 3. I want to see if I can finish it by the anniversary on the 27th. It's my own private little thing.
