Poor Mario and Little Mac.. wonder where the Villager shall hide their bodies..
By the way, do you guys think the 3DS version shall have download play? Not the full roster though, maybe just limited to basic Mii Fighters and Battlefield, so you can convince people who never played a Smash game to buy it.

"Here's a Screen K.O. shot. There are also patterns where players will disappear into the sky for Star K.O.s, but as a match's time limit approaches, those K.O.s will not occur anymore."
That is brilliant as even though these look really cool they waste a lot of time and slow recovery, I'm still hoping they can be switched off but at the very least Sakurai has found a half way point.
@The_Ninja - Yeah, I can see Download Play happening. With a roster of the original 8 plus a few more like Pit and Bowser. They'd probably be limited to content similar to the stuff that the E3 demos had, with regular matches and Smash Run.

I hope your right ^_^ On the Tuesday after release, I'll bring the game and my 3DS to my friends house to convince him to buy it.
Ok, I'd like to point out firstly, no. Second, why in God's name would they gimp it? I'm calling all or nothing on this one. Either we get download play and they can use the full roster and play on any stage and the Final Destination form of any stage, or we're not getting download play. Download play is not and never was intended to be a sort of "demo version." It's so that if one person buys a game, he and his friends can still play it together. Considering Smash was original a console game, in which you only needed one copy to play, anyways, I'd say "all" is a very likely outcome here.
So yeah, I think it'll have download play, and no, I severely doubt they're gonna limit the number of characters available to download play. That just wouldn't make any sense.

Download play can't download THAT much. I think it can download around 32mb of data, and I doubt all stages + all characters AND smash run enemies are 32mb in total. They're likely to be 50mb or more.
@The_Ninja I wasn't aware it had a limit, but I imagine it'll only download what it needs to, then. Your 3DS will only download the character data for you and your other three players and only the stage data you choose and only the enemy and menu data that comes up. (I could see Smash Run working kinda like Windwaker in the sense that it only loads in enemies so far away from you and only so fast. That said, I don't know if Smash Run would be available via download play. I was just talking about classic multiplayer Smash Bros.

Definitely my favorite new detail in smash 4. It makes ko's feel so much more satisfying.

CoroCoro restated their last announcement, saying that they're not going to show the entire roster and all 3DS stages. What they meant was, they're going to show all characters and stages so far as 1 big recap before the game comes out.
I just was gonna post that!
Anyways, I don't care that much about characters now, I want more details. We don't know ANYTHING about the Wii U version, and the only thing we know for 3DS is Smash Run. I would love another Smash direct for both versions seperately, or just one direct for both. I just want big details, like if Download Play is in, or 5 player support with the GamePad, some modes, etc.
Yep, as some of us said; that magazine just summaries all of the details revealed so far which I think is for the best.
Since @Dark mentioned it earlier, Little Mac does look a little beat up. Either that's just for the Screen KO or perhaps battle damage will be thing for him. If battle damage is in the game; will it be just for him I wonder?

Wasn't this effect always in smash? But just less dramatic? Either way I love it :3 and if Lil Mac receives visual battle damage that would be cool :3 the details that go into the smallest things amaze me like with how Lucy has the eye of naga, it's completely unnecessary but the fact that it's there shows how much attention Sakurai and the team put into it! I wanna be a Sakurai when I grow up :3
I'm trying not to have expectations for characters. I don't want to really want a certain character only to find out he or she isn't playable and get all bent out of shape. Let's face it; these games are going to be a lot of fun, regardless of who's playable or not. It's silly to think the games would all of a sudden be a disappointment if so-and-so isn't playable. So for me, I'll try to keep my character roster expectations very low. Not only will I be prepared if only Dixie Kong is a DK newcomer, but I will be prepared in case there's no DK newcomers at all. In fact, the rest of the newcomers might not interest me one bit, but I'll still have my mains from Brawl. Only Wario is missing, but he's been implied since after the start of this year and it's just a matter of time.
As The Ninja said, I'd be more interested in features. The Wii U version is almost a complete mystery, but there's still a lot about the 3DS version I'm curious about too.
The Wii U version is A must buy for me. It will be impossible for me to skip it at launch week.
Making promise is easy. The hard part is keeping it.
