Because I want a bit more change this time around, anybody agree? If not, it's like COD. Same game, just with some additions.
The reason Smash Bros. is successful is that it is different from traditional fighting games. It is in a sense, unique. Sakurai, do whatever you want, I trust you.

Here are some of my suggestions: characters miis with find mii abilities, geno, mewtwo, zoroark, paper mario. Stage: lavender town/ tower, the train from spirit tracks, goombas castle( paper mario sticker star), and skyloft or the sealed grounds from skyward sword. Also maybe battle damage( the damage they take shows up in their appearance. This was planned for brawl but never made full cut.)
You see the problem with this is the stages and items. Everything would become over complicated and not as easy to get into. I've played the game in the video, and I just can't see it working for smash bros. Getting the items would become a hassle, and the stages would be hard to navigate around. The great thing about the series is the simplicity of the controls. Maybe if I actually see it happen my opinion might change. But as of right now what I said in my previous comment holds true.
I think that they shouldn't change the fighting mechanics because that is what it's originality is from other fighting games. Also i came up with some items. 1() the cucos. They attack and swarm whoever you throw them at. 2) The rock mushroom from super mario galaxy. Temporarily turns the player into a boulder to roll around and crush other players. 3) train parts. Parts you could use to make your train in spirit tracks could randomly appear and you could throw them for some damage. These are all i can think of for now.

lol,i agree with geno,mewtwo,zoroark,and paper mario... but miis? i like miis but not enough to be in a ssb game
There is probably hundreds of items they never use, because they don't fit in to the play style of the game. There needs to be a completely customizable stage editor including music, actually good stage parts(compared to Brawl), more interaction options with things in the stage, objectives like capture the flag, king of the hill, etc. Every Smash Bros. stage needs to be in the game whether it's DLC or not. It's really up to Nintendo what they do with their games, and I trust they'll make it the best they can... My character suggestions would be.
Mii: ONLY customizable by face, but not moveset
Mario: Toad added ONLY
Zelda: Demise added ONLY
Pokemon: Metwo, Jigglypuff and Pikachu ONLY
Fire Emblem: should have a few characters, but no identical movesets. (I don't really play FE, but Marth and Ike should be kept)
F-Zero: Samarai Goroh added ONLY.
Metroid: Ridley
Pikmin: Olimar with Pikmin ONLY
Wario: Waluigi added ONLY
Animal Crossing: ONLY Tom Nook
S & P: Saki ONLY
DK: Don't change.
Starfox: Slippy and Crystal ONLY
Kid Icarus: Don't change
3rd party: NONE
R.O.B. should be kept
Game & Watch is kept
Punch-Out: Little Mac ONLY

These are my only suggestions for characters as of now... I just don't want there to be clones of any sort in the game, which would mean Falco, Wolf, Ganondorf, etc, need new moves, and no other form of Link. If they want to change a character's moveset they need to have it be an option on the characters main screen. Costume options, as well as color options after that. Some characters' moveset need to be changed even though they don't have clones, such as Wario, Olimar, and enhances movesets to other characters is always welcome. Better Final Smash moves. I figure they'll add some new stuff too, but they need to improve alot on what they've already implemented in the game. That's pretty much all I got for now...
About the characters, I don't have any requests, I'll be happy with who ever they add as long as they keep all the characters I care about.
The only thing I really want are some upgraded moves for each character.
Some characters rely too much on not very much moves, and their other ones are just way too risky to use or not good enough in compare to the other ones.
About stages, anything would be fine, just no large /stupid /annoying /unfair stages.
Also, one thing I want, is a few themes for Battlefield and Final Destination. I would love them to make it so that I can switch Battlefield and Final Destination to look like they did in Melee and Brawl in SSB4, along with some new looks for both of those, like one to make it look as if it is on top of a giant tree in the jungle, or whatever, you get it..

Well personally I think Smash Bros is fine formula-wise, what I would add (besides the obvious plethora of stages and characters) is a solid multiplayer mode, almost on e-sports level. Let us make tournaments, have voice chat, wait together in a lobby, watch a 4 people match unfold on a screen (kinda like in mortal kombat on the xbox360, that was brilliant) while we wait for our turn in line to face the winner of the match, let this go on with maybe some mini game in the lobby so people stay have a nice talk and then smack the living daylights out of each other.
Smash Bros always was good but on Wii U it's time to make it shine as something truly amazing - and for this a ROCK solid online mode is a requirement in my book. Everyone can have an awesome Smash Brothers party on his couch - been there, done that, loved it - no bring it all online!

The Smash Bros basic formula is fine, the only change I'd want to that is tripping removed. No, the big change Smash Bros needs is single player, the Subspace Emissary was terrible and didn't let as explore actual Nintendo themed settings and fight enemies from actual Nintendo franchises, We need a mode where we're actually battling through the Mushroom Kingdom, Hyrule, Pokemon regions, etc in the style of the Subspace Emissary and Melee's Adventure Mode, maybe akin to Mushroom Kingdom Fusion.
And King K Rool as a playable character would be cool.
