This game has never been announced, it is just an idea.
My brother and I picked up Wind Waker HD, and it was mind blowing. It was almost a whole new game. Then , we started thinking of what other games would make amazing remakes. We thought of Super Mario Mario Sunshine. How amazing would that be?! Super Mario Sunshine is one of the best mario games of all time. It features free roaming, side quests, and a long play life with a great replay value. It would be insane for Nintendo to create this, and they already said they could make more HD remakes. So, please leave comments down below about a Super Mario Sunshine HD Remake.
That sounds like a great Idea! I loved Super Mario Sunshine. The beaches and water effects in HD glory. Miiverse support would be cool if they did something like in Wind Waker. Gamepad would be gyro-aiming, and a display that showed all of your shines and blue coins. Mii's could walk around Delfino Isle and they would show miiverse posts.

the beach stages in Mario 3D World made me think that a remake of sunshine would be a good thing however, I'd rather see a Mario All-Stars HD come out in 2015 the 30th anniversary since the release of SMB. HERES the catch though instead of the 2-d originals we get 64,Sunshine, and the two Galaxy games remade in HD (and yes the'd easily fit into one wii u disc and the eshop size wouldn't be too large because Ninties magicians with file sizes oAo ) and I'd personally love to see them all with 3D World's graphics engine because its such a beautiful game -my thoughts on the game are in the 3D World thread if you can find it xD- but keep the original gameplay mechanics in tact with a few tweaks! again this is just an idea~

actually a few months ago gifs were much more overused here than now, they used to completely bomb threads they found lame with tons of gifs(it was really fun, but got tiring fast )

The lack of analogue triggers might hurt a Sunshine remake slightly, but I guess they can work around it.
Sunshine is probably my least favourite out of the 3D Mario games, so I wouldn't really want them to spend time remaking it.
Wind Waker HD is amazing but I've had enough of remakes... if they must bring back another Gamecube game, give me an HD Kirby Air Ride with online multiplayer please (or better yet, give me a sequel).

It would be very hard to remake all of them in one disc, because each one has a few different controls. Like Sunshine has flood, galaxy has the pointer at screen, and so on. To be honest, I didnt like the Galaxies that much. It was all kinda straight forward. I really liked sunshine because there was so much to do. There was like 5+ side quests on each stage, plus stuff to do around delfino plaza, plus flood and yoshi, and bowser jrs in it. MArio 64 was alright, i never got around to finishing it though. So, in conclusion, I still think if they jsut made Sunshine, all would be good in the world.
Super Mario Sunshine HD would be great, I think we will be getting that one in few years
I would want that too as well.
I would like to see new improved mechanics and situations of how to get shine sprites in the remake because some shine sprites are well hidden in the original and you can't figure out where the shine sprites are.
the fact that the Wii originals can be played on the Wii U,
I think this kinda proves that they wont make a Galaxy Remake any time soon. You can already play them on Wii U, so why do they need to make them again?
