A lot of people are complaining about the announcement of Super Mario 3D World, saying "I wanted Galaxy 3!" But look at screenshots of this game. If someone saw that before E3 they would think it was Galaxy 3. I really Don't see the difference between the games besides the multiplayer aspect, and less space backgrounds. The only reason people are complaining is because of the name basically. I personally was not a huge fan of the Galaxy games, and was slightly disappointed by Galaxy 2 in particular, but I do like the look of this game so far, and the Multiplayer really sells it for me. I'm glad it's not Galaxy 3... What do you think?

Well the fact that gravity only pulls in one direction in 3D Land pretty much completely separates it from Galaxy!
Maybe that's why they made the cat suit...to climb up walls and "defy" gravity temporarily
Galaxy 3 wasn't coming anyway. 2 only exists because it is unused content from the 1st game. How many times does it have to be repeated.
I wish peeps would get over it already. Nobody is forcing you to get 3D World.
completely agree
I'll admit: 3D World wasn't what I was hoping for either. But that doesn't mean I won't like it. In fact I think it looks dope. And crying about it in every thread isn't going to make 3D World into Super Mario Universe.

3D World is a lot of fun. I hope the Galaxy series is done. With the next Mario I hope they bring back a World Hub that can be explored, such as Mario 64 and Sunshine. I believe that Hub World is what makes 3rd dimensional Mario games so much fun: exploring and finding secret levels, which gives the player a feeling of victory just by finding a level.
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Super Mario 3D World. Much better to have something new than yet another Mario Galaxy game. Don't want those to become the 3D equivalent of the New Super Mario Bros series (aka every freaking 3D Mario title ever made from this point on).
I personally wanted a new, unique game which was not part of any previous sub-series..
Amen to this
Though this is more of what I expected anyway. There's always a better chance of them doing something like this, opposed to creating a completely original platformer like Galaxy. Games like those are hard to come by.

Amen to this as well
Galaxy 2 feels so disconnected without a hub. Not even adding Yoshi can compensate for what they did there.
Im done with space mario, while both galaxy's where a blast and fun its clearly time for something new. Also lets not forget we have sonic galaxy coming out (i keep hearing people call it lost worlds.....odd). Im curious what the next big marios theme will be, i think its safe to say the gamepad will most likely play a vital role.
as JGMR put it, super mario universe might possibly be it but i think it wont be the same in terms of in space. But rather something using the gamepad where its a worlds within worlds kind of situation.
