so we can safely assume Mario is related to Ganon, since Link is like Bowser? :p

I was once a fighter in spirit alone, but not long ago I found something that was missing and became a fighter in body and mind too.

I've realized what creature Mario is fighting in this GIF is. It's a Big Bully wearing armor that can breath fire.

If you don't remember, bullies were the metal enemies from Super Mario 64 that rammed into you to push you around.

They've been given a new design this time with curved horns.

That's an armoured Big Bully? Never noticed that!

But I do have to say, the above battle looks a lot better than the boring ones the Bully bosses got in Mario 64. God those sucked.

I agree. All you had to do is push/punch them in the game then into the lava, kind of dull and lame. But they made them better in this one!

If you look at the tenth little screenshot starting from the snow pokey one, you'll see the redesigned bullies. They look meaner than ever now, and you'll have to roll-jump into them instead of punching or ground-pounding. Ground-pounding them was always tricky to me. I'm glad to see them back considering they've been gone for a very long time. Now I'd like to see Dino Rhinos and Fishin' Boos.

EDIT: Pretty wild seeing a Fire Bro. perched on top of a Goomba Tower in the 12th little screenshot.

It's nice to see the little cutscene in the 20th picture, just like 3D Land. It had a lot of them!

I'll admit the trailer was MUCH better at showing off the game than the E3 one did, but I'm still iffy about this game. I'm definitely not buying it for $60 though..

The only question that remains is why is Bowser more interested in taking a fairy princess than capturing Peach? Do the faries serve a purpose to his evil scheme or is he just doing it for variety?

In the 20th little screenshot in the collection above, Bowser is seen capturing a bunch of Sprixies near what appears to be their palace, implying that Bowser is being just like Wart in that he's invading a world of fairies to conquer it by capturing all the fairies. So after failing to conquer the Mushroom Kingdom and own Peach a hundred times, Bowser decided to move on to another kingdom to try to take it over and its princess.

The Sprixies might also have some sort of powerful magic Bowser wants to steal too. He's already using super bells to turn his minions into cat hybrids.

You probably wont be buying it for a long time then, at least new anyway.

I have never seen peoples opinions of a game change so much as on the " Neogaf Super Mario 3-d world" thread, they love the game now and some of them are saying they would buy a Wii U just to play it.
