I already have a regular 3DS (albeit one that's in somewhat bad shape), so it isn't mandatory that I get an XL. The only real reason is the $50 cheaper appeal. I suppose if I get a job within the next couple weeks it won't matter. But that's just it. If I know I'll land one soon I can just go ahead with the XL and get 3D World later and avoid the Internet for a while. Yet since I don't know it's a 50/50 choice...

Avian fact of the week: The Moa, an extinct relative of ostrichs and emus that inhabited New Zealand, was the tallest bird that ever lived at 12 ft tall (3.6 m). It was also the only known bird to have no wing structure.

@WingedSnagret Get 3D World then. If your current 3DS can survive until Christmas then it's worth just getting that for Christmas rather than wait for this title. It will also cost you less money to do so.

@Guitardude Good point. Plus I'll still have money left over so if I don't find a job before this year's end I'll still be able to buy Christmas gifts for my family and not look like a selfish jerk. Not to mention I wouldn't have to worry about spoilers with an XL anyway. ;)

My family doesn't spend much on Christmas gifts though, so I doubt I'd get a $200 XL. Oh well, can't have everything (unless you are a spoiled brat).

On a different note, I REALLY hope there is a Bowser's Road theme in this game.

How did they manage to get Mario working on the Xbone then?

Is that something Nintendo should be worried about?

XB1 has an HDMI in port so you could hook your Wii U, PS4, etc into that port and play the game through the XB1.

Doubt its anything Nintendo should be worried about as there appears to be pretty significant lag when doing that.

Oh yeah, True, I was being really dense and thinking that they had just put the disc straight into the Xbone.

Clearly a blonde moment on my behalf.

The media outlets like IGN should be ashamed for reporting you can play Wii-U games on the XBone, the news title is very misleading and is titled that way intentionally.

And then the subtitle immediately makes clear what they're talking about, while being unflattering:

"Remember the Xbox One's HDMI pass-through feature? It works...sorta."

I'm so excited. Gonna take it to my friends' house over the weekend and play with a bunch of people. They got the Xbox One, too, so I'll get to check that out at the same time.

@Conellossus: I'm not watching anymore videos at this point with the game just around the corner.

When the game comes out Friday and I'm playing it, I'm only going to comment on it under spoiler tags for a good while, at least as far as boss battles and major levels.

I pre-ordered this game along with Zelda: Link Between Worlds at Gamestop mainly because my birthday was 2 weeks ago and i got $125 in Gamestop gift cards. I also got a $50 amazon gift card which i used to order the collector's edition guides for both games which are each $23 plus tax.

I also have no work and no class that day so i get the whole day off. Hopefully most of the people buying Xbox One will have come at midnight. As i was told, i have nothing better to do that day, so i won't mind standing in a potentially long line for those 2 games.

I expect a huge input lag. Curious if they have mentioned it?
Because it has to go through 2 things now. Console and TV, and each takes some time to process. :P
It was consepted for TV only in the first place.

I doubt the lag would be there if they had played entirely on the Wii U, and not Xbox One.

More to the point they shouldn't be worried about it given the fact that in order to do it a user has to buy a Wii U first. Infact they'd probably be pretty happy with the fact that in the middle of their XBOne coverage they threw Super Mario 3D World in the middle. Free press! Between that and their review of the PS4 showing PS4 -> Vita streaming I'm all of a sudden even more happy with the Wii U (2.4Ghz guys? seriously?)

Just waiting for SteamOS and maybe NVidia Shield so I can get the Wii U experience with all of the grunt of "next-gen" and some.

I'm insanely jealous of you guys getting to play this tomorrow.

I know us UK folk got Pikmin a week before you guys so I suppose it's only fair.
