By late January, Super Mario 3D World sold nearly 2 million copies. Since that's a two month period, I'd say that's rather impressive.

Mario platformers and Mario Karts sell well for years after their release (just look at the numbers for New Super Mario Bros. Wii at 27. 8 million and Mario Kart Wii at 35.26 million). The install base for the Wii U might not be so great now, but Nintendo is going to sell some systems over the next three to four years. As long as people are buying the Wii U they will be buying Super Mario 3D World. In my opinion it's one of the finest Mario games ever made.

My game library ranges from Mario Kart to Call of Duty to Tales of Xillia to Diablo 3 to Forza. To me gaming is about having fun - not blindly supporting only one company while thumbing your nose at "the evil other systems."

Nah, not me. I've been finding that Super Mario games have gotten so easy to the point they really aren't any fun for me to play now. Of course, I have never tried 3D World, but from what I've heard about the difficulty... not for me.

Luigi789

@mega well imo the game is very easy at first but the more further u get in the game the harder it gets , my total lives lost was 104 lol

@Luigi789 3D land was my least favorite Mario game out of what I've played (Pretty much all aside from obscure ones), so it's kind of obvious why I wouldn't like 3D World... also I beat 3D Land in 6 hours, and no I didn't use the cat suit... I feel like it was a huge waste of money, especially since I find it has no replay value. Kind of scared same thing would happen with 3D World. So since it's your favorite, I take it you liked 3D Land as well?

3D World was an extremely well designed game. The first couple of worlds are easy, but the game does pick up in difficulty more than it has before. And the bonus worlds are brutal. I mean it.

They weren't THAT bad..... I mean there WERE a couple of tough levels, not denying that, but the true challenge is the very last world!

I have heard that the last world is a challenge, but is it long enough? Most bonus worlds in Super Mario only consist of eight levels after all.
