I like StarFox, and I love Metroid. But to see those two mixed up? No thanks.

Of course, if it does turn out to be true, can't wait to see how it would work!

Mario Kart 7 [3DS]

I can't believe there's 4 pages of thread on what is arguably the most ridiculous pre-e3 rumour thus far.

Talking about ridiculous Pre-E3 rumours is half the fun while waiting for E3.

Yeah for real, I'm excited just thinking about it

So if this IS real then I think some adjustments should be made to make it work out.
I think from Star Fox, the characters should only be Fox, Andross, and maybe Falco. Considering it would most likely be only Samus and Ridley representing Metroid, we don't need the whole Star Fox gang getting in the way. Not to mention, Slippy and Samus just don't mix, I'm pretty sure she would shoot him or something

Edit : I feel like one of the main reasons I'm excited by this, is from me seeing The Avengers recently. Cross-overs are really cool, and seeing that movie really sparked my interest in it. Nintendo has possibly the most iconic and most diverse characters in video games, a cross-over of two of their franchises sounds amazing!

About the whole Rareware/Retro studios debate: Everyone their own opinion, but I think Retro is the new Rareware. Retro studios is great and so was Rareware (in the past). But as we all know Rareware is dead now. There where rumors that the Stamper brothers would form a "new" Rareware in Twycross, but it has gone pretty silent on that matter!

Anyway, Retro can't mimick the Rareware humor. For that you really need the English chaps!

As for the music: Rareware had great musicians like David Wise and Robin Beanland. But why must Retro always rely on Nintendo musicians? I don't have anything against them, but I would love to hear what a Retro musician could do!!

Maybe they don't have one working for them? Anyway, this is realy off-topic. Isn't there a Retro and Rare thread here or somewere?

I love how everyone is so butthurt over this amazing idea for a game. This would be an awesome crossover if Retro plays their cards right, and this would make me buy a Wii U.

But what if they don't play their cards right, would you then be butthurt?

What part of this is a good idea? Even for Retro this would be too hard to pull off, it's just that dumb. Luckily, there's no way this could be true.

@GoldenSun Welcome to NL!
I'm pretty sure this won't be true and I certainly wouldn't want it to be. I like Metroid but not Starfox and I can't see a crossover between the two working.

I'm starting to like this idea them more I think about it.This if done right could set the standards for games to come.Amazing as Metroid Prime 4 would be,it would still just be a FPS at heart and same goes for Starfox just being a shoot em up.Mix the 2 together with each having their own huge worlds then bring them together in blockbuster fashion and I think we could have 1 of the great games and a benchmark for games in the future, also setting itself up as a new franchise in a way.If this happens to be true I see a much darker Starfox cast, and if they look like what I imagine that would look like then I don't think they would look out of place together with Samus and co at all.I'm sure all those who say they would hate to see this happen would soon come around if they show it off at E3.Change is good folks!

Change of plans, you're not invited to watch E3 over here anymore.
