In an interview Retro Studios said, "we're currently working on something everyone wants us to do" so, the question is, is that Star Fox? I hope so, Star Fox in HD would be amazing.
Cool starfox in HD with gyroscope controls and a new storyline. hopefully there will be land battles and air battles alternating throughout the game like starfox assualt.
Well I would like to see a completely new game a lot like Starfox 64, but much better. Maybe even something where you can play online and build a base, something like StarHawk. Starhawk type game in Star Fox would be insane.
For me i would hope for a new graphical look in direction,a big hollywood style visual like an Halo game with some new and old musical direction.As for multiplayer ive read different opions online on this like the fact that warhawk ps3 feels and plays similar to a starfox game,on foot,in a ship etc,so yes similar to warhawk with new ideas thrown in?

like the pic,but i think a new type of ship Rwing bomber or a fighter arwing for 2 players,one is the pilot and two is targeting and tactical in a 32 player frag fest.On foot you could use a lock on rocket laucher and use the wii u pad to swing around the room find a lock on.

But this is because Nintendo of America basically made the mistake of believing "internet popular = real life popular" rather than the genre.
maybe add a first person view also ground to air battles like in kid 3ds.Add abit of star wars battlefront online space battles with on foot destroy the ships generator and then escape under a timer.One more thing high tech exsplosive bow and arrows.

on the rails is no good now it needs big buget with a hint of battlefront,a splash of warhawk,pintch of rachet and clank,big healthly dollop of halo 4 visuals.
I hope they do a sort of updated version of starfox fx(snes)HD.it would be could to use 3DS and the wii u pad in the Arwing,also a two players in an arwing one player could spin the wii u pad to track rear enemys and shoot flares/counter measures,3DS for Arwing controls and scanners.
It could work and it would make sense. Retro has to have been doing something all this time and Starfox is a reasonably popular series that would work well on the Wii U. It's a game that kinda demands high end visuals, unlike say Zelda or Mario which can get away with a style, and it does kinda need that second screen. Don't want Slippy's face blocking your view in the middle of a dogfight.
That said..... it better be something special and it better have a proper online multiplayer mode with a reasonable number of players on large-ish maps. If it does that I'm going to get it even if it's not really a system seller I wouldn't think.
