So recently ONM posted this, "While some suggest this new project is likely to be a return to the Metroid franchise, we’d love to see another Nintendo hero get the retro stamp of excellence. After all, having rolled out the barrels for Donkey Kong, perhaps it’s time Retro pulled off a barrel roll of a different kind.”
So people have been debating on how ONM could have said it because besides being reviewers they are also fans while others are arguing that why would they post this if they didn't know some information that somehow they possibly know it's Star Fox.
I mean what do you guys think of this?
Feel like Retro should make a Star Fox? Any other ideas of what there secret game could be

Me personally would think it'd be cool for them to make Star Fox and center if around the Arwing, Landmaster, Submarine thing and-possibly some foot action. Third Person shooter maybe for stealth missions and some crazy multiplayer action.

Yeah, I would love to see a Star Fox for the Wii U that combined the aerial combat along with exploring plants third person on foot.

Official Nintendo Magazine. And imagine if done well how cool it would be and look. I could imagine something like they take your Arwing so you have to infiltrate and get it back. Then things exploding because of some reason so you fly out with all these explosions and robots attacking things breaking. IDK

If they were to make another installment for the series, the gameplay needs to be more like Star Fox Assault. (the multiplayer battle mode was king) Optional multiplayer splitscreen adventure would also be a really cool bonus. (maybe a rear gun/shooter in which player-2 uses the special controller for a unique view. Also, the Wii remote and nunchuk would make for awesome flight controls!
I'd be happy with any kind Star Fox game for Wii U though, since we never got to see one for Wii...

That's how I feel too. Really thought we would've gotten one for Wii but even better maybe WiiU and yes but I think a mixture of Assault and 64 would make a great Star Fox game.

If they make one I will buy it.
If they don't then less money for them.

Then again they said they are working on something we all want them to work on....I don't think the majority of the voice said new IP but who knows.

It'd be nice for them to make a new IP they should but for now we get a Retro stamp on a series

DUDE. If this is announced for Wii U, I will.. I don't even know. The possibilities are endless with the tablet controller, gyroscope, etc.

I want this really badly. The visuals and the controls would work brilliantly! It would definitely get a good applause at E3. Please make this happen! _{my friends and I have been making a lot of nerdy Star Fox references, so this would make them happy too...}

i would love another star fox game like star fox and star fox 64 with great HD graphics like the flight sessions in assault and alot more single player stages (like 30 or so instead of just 16) and online multiplayer!!!!

Hopefully it's Intelligent Systems is developing it.

I kinda figured they are known to revive old franchises, like with Metroid and Donkey Kong....I mean, they're called RETRO Studios.
Anyways I can see them doing Star Fox.

In an interview Retro Studios said, "we're currently working on something everyone wants us to do" so, the question is, is that Star Fox?
I hope so, Star Fox in HD would be amazing.
