Breakaway from the Gamecube controller. We all knew it wouldn't last forever

on brawl when i had to use a classic controller i would set it up this way
cc button = gamecube button
b = a
y = b
x/a = x/y

so basically a and b were translated the same way you would from nes to snes, and then i used the x and a buttons as jump. i found it to work great. as long as we can still remap our buttons this will be perfect for me, especially on the 3ds.

You actually don't have to break away from the GC controller if you don't want to.

You can buy one of these

and use your GC controller as a Wii Pro controller. I love the GC controller and have two of these wonderful adapters.

For the most part I'll be using my Wii U Pro controllers as they are amazing especially their battery life for a wireless controller.

since we will have custom move sets -excluding certain modes as said in the previous direct- i imagine we can map attacks to our liking with the Gamepad and pro controller.

to those who liked using a GCN controller with Brawl, get a May-flash GameCube controller adapter that hooks into a wiimote and maps the Wii classic controller to the GCN controller, its actually alot more seem-less than it sounds, I use this set up alot to play MKWii and Brawl on the Wii U~ but I'm going to get more accustom to the pro controller than I already am for MK8 and Smash U.
