"Financial reasons."

nope, it's not about how many times they lost, it's about insight if they failed to see so many mistakes there's a low chance they'd notice another one.

I only liked the first game. I played the heck out of that and Dark Cloud 2.

My point is that "financial reasons" don't seem to govern much of their decision-making as far as console games go.

Despite being shifted from PS3 to PS4, the game itself doesn't even have 4k visuals. And while some may say that 4k isn't the only thing about next-gen, it's still the only argument for it, yet not a single PS4/XBone game even tried to go beyond 1080p with upscaling.

What's the point in having 4K visuals when pretty much nobody has a TV that can display them? What a ridiculous argument.

Tell that to Microsft and Sony, they used 4k as an argument to buy their consoles. It's probably gonna take around 2-3 years until 4k TV's are affordable anyway.

Sony used it as an argument because they want you to buy one of their 4K TVs. They also sold the PS3 on 3D gaming as well, and that didn't catch on either.

I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for 4K gaming this generation. Maybe a couple titles will use it years from now, but it's still a long way from being the norm.

Could either of you point me to where Sony said the PS4 supports 4K games, last I checked movies were possible, but games were a no go. Visuals have gone beyond PS3/360 already anyway.

You have no clue how long they've actually been working on the game

You dont know Square's budget either

What trend? There hasn't been a mainline game on consoles for an entire gen
>Scraps game and starts over to build on new engine
This happens more than you think and I dont believe they have a choice since they moved development to a diff console
>Decides to instead build on next-gen consoles with 1/20th the install base.
Nobody has a clue when KH3 will be released

I know 4K was mentioned for video, but I didn't hear anything about 4K gaming on the PS4 either. I just posted to let him know that 4K is years away from ever being used for console gaming.

Its a dirty shame. Kingdom Hearts games have sold pretty freaking well on Nintendo handhelds. There is actually a Kingdom Hearts fanbase with Nintendo.....

I own a Wii U and 3DS. I also own a PS4!

well, some games on WiiU did really bad...
I don't see this happening(well at least not in such a big scale as selling worse than anything on WiiU) unless the XBOne version get mandatory Kinect controls but I also don't see this happening...

From what I understood, Square Enix was acknowledging that Wii U only ran DirectX 10.1(native), and the rest would have to be figured out, elsewhere. They never even said that Wii U wasn't getting KH3, because of DX11. Naive people on the internet were the only ones who believed that story.

The interview many were referencing to say that DX11 was required, never even said that. The specs are ultimately what the game runs on. As long as they know what the Wii U's specs are, they can build the a game on any program, and format it to run on Wii U.

The thing is that porting from the PS4 to the XBONE is cheaper and easier than porting from the PS4 to the WiI U, so yes KH 3 would probably sell less on XBONE than it would on Wii U but since porting is cheap they don't need to sell that many copies to make the cost of the port back....

They were during the 8 and 16 but the company has mostly been Sony aligned since the 3D era of games started.

Dragon Quest is still a big thing for Nintendo but honestly I expect X to be ported to the PS3/PS4 before a western release and the next main game to either be Multiplatform on consoles or 3DS.

They heavily supported GBA and DS. GCN and Wii still got a few FF games, too.

Yeah I meany to add ports and Spin offs. I recall hearing that Nintendo used the GBA ports as a barginning chip to get the crystal series on the cube.

Speaking of which with how popular rougelikes are I wouldn't mind seeing another crystal game.

I know. It was still decent support, though. Sony got like 75% of the games, and Nintendo got 50% of the games. That differing percentage is the games that only one or the other got.
