As a fan of Nintendo, I take it upon myself to tell everyone I can about how great the Wii U and how much fun I have had with my system. I am proud to report that my efforts have yielded two new Wii U sales in the past year (one last night) and I still have a chance for a third. How great would it be if every Wii U owner was able to get one other person to buy a Wii U each year? Identify young families who want a family friendly gaming system and tell them how much fun you have had. Maybe invite them over so their kids can see how great it is.
It is a shame, in my opinion, that people are playing the same crap over and over again on other systems. FPS are redundant at this point, with very little new imaginative or creative ideas. Time to take back the new generation with Nintendo.
Oh, that last paragraph...
Next to my Wii U there's another system: an old fat white 360. Without it, I had no Dark Souls, no Fallout, no Dead Space, no Forza Motorsport, no Vanquish, no Bioshock, no Shadows of the damned, no Binary Domain, no Eternal Sonata, no Fight Night Round, no The Witcher 2, no Resonance of Fate, no Mass Effect, no ...
Sony and Microsoft = stupid FPS sounds like Nintendo = childish platformers.
Quite frankly we should be spreading the word to get people to boycott companies like Ubisoft and EA. I've just about had it with them, but people keep buying their broken games year after year. And until gamers fight back with their wallets, things will only get worse.

Unfortunately I can't see that happening on such a large scale. Forcing them to take responsibility for this stuff seems like the only way to do anything effective it seems...

I pretty much have with the exceptions of Rayman Legends (Digital and Physical for 75% of RRP) and Far Cry 3 Uplay that I got for basically nothing via a glitch.
The fact that by using Starforce on a think the first Assasin's Creed about two weeks of all my free time was wasted is not something I forgive easily.

this.....
Even Nintendo orthodox conservative platformers fans should admit there have been innovatios on other platforms.... Little Big Planet, for example.... they are going crazy for mario Maker which looks so tiny compare to the massive tools LBP franchise is giving to players....
I know, I hate that all PlayStation and Xbox games are first-person shooters. No variety!
I wish they had RPGs, sports games, racing sims, adventure games, but no, they only have war simulators. Luckily Nintendo never releases the same thing over and over. Every Pokemon and New Super Mario Bros game is completely different than the previous one.
ehehehehhee
my Ps4 is soooo boring..... fighting a war in tibet then driving in a gt-series race then going crazy in Los Santos then hunting dragons then crafting new weapons then meeting friends online for pvE missions are all so-boring activities compared to jumping between platforms and turtles heads....

So you've become a salesman for Nintendo? The point of a gaming console is to have fun, not to sell other people on your decision.

Like @BinaryFragger pointed out, Nintendo recycles ideas too. Saying that all Sony and Microsoft put out are shooters is like saying all Nintendo puts out is platformers for children.
My SD Card with the game on it is just as physical as your cartridge with the game on it.
I love Nintendo, that's why I criticize them so harshly.
"They played us like a damn fiddle!" - MGS5
"Finish your mission, prove your loyalty." - MGS3
"We could take a s*** on you from such a height, you'd think God himself has crapped on you!" - GTA: SA
Currently Playing: The Phantom Pain.
I appreciate what Nintendo does and I don't have an interest in other consoles (I'd rather play the games they have in a PC), but I don't care what others prefer. Sure, I wish Nintendo keeps profitable and making consoles and games for as long as I'm alive, but that's their work not mine.
I was posting pics of Mario Kart 8 on FB- and a friend of mine got one b/c she said that they looked so cool. So, I try to post shots of my game play a few times per week.

I've done this myself, but just for fun, really. I'd set it up in my dorm lounge, or for the kids during Thanksgiving. I didn't really see it as my responsibility, though, and it's not really fair to say that the competition doesn't have much variety, even if I don't care for it.
Why do people always feel like they have to stick with one console/company and playing another is the greatest of all sins? Or that is they like one company, they absolutely have to hate other company games? I honestly have a lot of trouble understanding that mindset.
I love to play games from all kinds of companies and different companies because I love variety and trying out things and seeing different concepts and gameplay styles. Isn't it better to like games based on the content, not the company?

It's not a matter of brand loyalty, that's not as strong as it used to be. A lot of gamers simply don't like Nintendo because it's not a graphical powerhouse and the games are too "kiddy". Nintendo simply isn't following the market.

hahahaha... what's this guy even talking about. going round in circles. the the RPGs on those systems are boring as hell and we've seen better 20 years ago. the sports games and racing games are stupid simulations for fat lazy americans that don't want to go outside and do these things for real. they are also the same every year. then the war simulators. waste of time, the opposite of fun. at least with nintendo games they put new ideas in with the same franchises. ideas they made up to begin with..

Mario hasn't had a new idea since Galaxy. Pokemon I disagree with it being a rehash because they do actually come up with new game mechanics, but it does stubbornly stick to the same formula (nearly every game is beat the 8 gyms, defeat an evil team which tries to conquer the world using the box legend, and beat the Elite 4 and the Champion) which is getting pretty old.
I will say while I love the games, my definitive Xbox RPG is an RPG company selling out to make a 3rd person cover shooter in Mass Effect. Let's never deny this ever, Mass Effect is a shooty game so Bioware could be more popular. That sums up my experiences with Xbox's variety (not that Nintendo hasn't had similar issues...).
It's like pretending Xbox is for the kids because Viva Pinata was cool, I mean cmon. Don't BS me, I know what Xbox is for. Wii didn't magically turn obscure Japanese devs to household names, Xbox didn't stop being a shooter console.
Some 10 year old kid asked me if he should get a Wii U or Xbox One for Christmas. I said that either one would be good. I regret nothing.
Really though, Xbox One has some killer (see what I did there?) exclusives. And the Kinect is so much better that the Wii remote. Now if only I had more than one game for it... or an Xbox One Kinect...
