Topic: Splatoon: Do You Feel Like Your Being Trolled?

I'm playing Splatoon on Nintendo Wii U. I be playing the game online most of the times now after beating it. In certain modes like Splat Zones, Tower Control, and Rainmaker modes. For me, Splat Zones, Tower Control, and Rainmaker modes is easy. But, when your playing with other players online. I feel like my team be losing on purpose sometimes. For example, I was playing Rainmaker mode and my team almost won at the end of the match until someone on my team either quit playing or go offline. Then, in Splat Zones. Someone on my team used a Inkstrike somewhere on the map instead of on the freaking Splat Zones. Also, an enemy used an Inkstrike somewhere on the map instead of on the Splat Zones and my team won.
The reason why I asked this question is because I feel like my own team be trolling me by either losing on purpose or going offline when I'm about to win.

I don't think anyone is trolling you, some people just disconnect late in the game because of a weak connection or they get complacent when they have a lead and aren't focussed anymore.
And Inkstrikes aren't exclusively meant for the Zone, there are other valid uses cases as well.

The more important question is though: What is your rank? Because what you're describing is more common in the lower ranks. It makes a huge difference, because in the C and B ranks, people don't really play seriously or the simply don't know what they're doing. It only starts to get interesting in the A ranks and gets more serious in the S ranks.

My GOTY? Legend Of Zelda: Splat of the child. Ah no, I meant LoZ: Breath of the SPLATOOOON!

I was a Rank A+, but now I'm a Rank A- because I keep receiving unstable internet connections for some reason.

Welcome to playing shooter games online. I have seen this kinda of thing on every online game there is from Call of Duty to Overwatch to Halo to World of Warcraft to Diablo to Battlefield, it just happens when you play with randoms or PUGs (Pick up Groups). You always get into a group where people don't play the objectives or seem to not care and it could be for a variety of reasons. Maybe they are new players who don't know what to do yet, to some being jerks on purpose to even people just being drunk or high while playing. Point is if you want to avoid that only play with people you know like friends you know from work or school or try to set up a group of people who really want to play the game on a site like this one.

I know it can be frustrating but that's just the nature with online gaming.
