I think the map rotation thing had more to do with the stages being at night. Nintendo probably didn't want to or have time to make all of them at night as I'm sure it takes some work to do. (checks for typos before posting and........I'm good.

XD. I know how it feels. Maybe you should try a different approach.
For example if your more focused in close range, you could try a longer ranged weapon (like a charger), since most popular weapons are mid to short ranged and you could gain a slight advantage over them. It might also help you avoid combat and not get "splatted" as much. Although you probably will become more of a support member since most long ranged weapons have poor coverage.
It's funny how this game was billed as a floor coverage game yet if you're aggressive you can dominate. Like I said yesterday, if I don't play aggressive then I don't play well for some reason. I need to know where the enemy is or I end up getting splatted far too much.

Too many connection errors for my taste. I bowed out of splatfest. Not worth the aggravation. I had too many matches where it was 3v4. guess how those went...

Anyone wind up in a 1 vs 4 game? I was on the bad end of that one. Fortunately it was Kelp Dome so I just hung around the base, inking the area around me and picking off the other team when they approached. They got no kills on me. When they threw up the occasional bomb I just moved onto the shielded spawn point.
For some reason I now want to end up in a 1 vs 4 game! lol It sounds like fun!
It wasn't fun for the one person that went against our 4 man team lol. Once we all painted the whole area there was nothing left to do but camp and sit.

True Although it is good to still avoid combat. Normally when I'm overwhelmed with a situation I just swim away and ink some turf somewhere else. I try not to engage combat unless I have to lol
To me, how I play depends highly on my weapon. If I have an aggressive weapon like an Aerospray then I play aggressively and if I have a supportive weapon like an Inkbrush then I play quick and evasively.
Well, I'm going to stop for the night, just getting too frustrated. It's gotten to the point where if I get matched up against four Level 20s, I might as well just throw in the towel. I like how in regular battles where the teams get mixed up each round, but this mode lets you keep your party.

I've managed to get a good few games in this morning.Still having to wait a while on pop but considering most of Europe will be in their bed it wasn't too bad.Only had 4 matches where we played our own side and 3 where they only had 3 players.Overall I had a great time,some of the battles to control the middle on warehouse were hilarious.Taking a break for now but will be back on soon.
