I've not seen this posted here already.
THE SYSTEM•Uses a custom IBM triple-core CPU running at 3.6GHz per core•The development kit contains 1gb RAM, but Nintendo have hinted that the console will actually have 1.5gb•Nintendo will be releasing games that will run 1080p natively. Sources say that with Nintendo’s art style and the power the system has, the games look ‘stunning’.•The system does run on AMD R700 card, but the architecture is slightly different and the clock speeds are much higher.•The System resembles JPN/EU SNES machines in color only and not in shape•The development kit is about the size of a 360, not the console•Close sources say it’s as if Nintendo is in “damage control” with 3rd party developers. •Nintendo is trying really hard to get 3rd parties on board to develop games and have offered incentives such as not releasing big-title Nintendo games in holiday seasons to compete against 3rd party titles.•Nintendo went to many 3rd party developers on guidance on what they were after with the new console in terms of system specs, controller and online system
THE CONTROLLER•Nintendo have been keeping this really quiet and have only given developers controller prototypes to start designing games. However, the final controller build with all the features have only been given to Nintendo 1st and 2nd party developers for now.•Nintendo had planned on inserting a screen on the controller back when the Gamecube was in development, but opted out due to technology not being advanced enough to be functional•The controller that’s been given to developers has a large 5.7inch hd (960x640pixel) screen, 2 analogue sticks, 4 face buttons, 3 middle buttons (select/home/start in that order), 2 shoulder buttons and 2 triggers.•The triggers aren’t as deep as the 360’s triggers, but have plenty of push•The big thing about the screen is that it’s a multi-touch screen, contains it’s own battery and is detachable from the controller unit•The screen when detached contains its own memory so developers can store data on it, so gamers can play whatever the developer designs for the screen-only use•When the screen is attached to the controller it works by streaming content directly from the console•Nintendo are giving developers ideas other than just having it function as a quick menu screen for games while attached, or as a simple tamagochi-like mini-game when detached•The controller contains a gyroscope, but motion controls isn’t the focus of the controller like it was for the Wii
THE GAMES•Nintendo will release a Mario platformer as a launch title which hasn’t been done since the N64.•The Mario platformer looks to be the spiritual successor to Mario 64.•Gamefreak and EAD are hard at work developing a Pokemon online RPG.•The Pokemon RPG is not an MMO, but does have a large online emphasis and will be Nintendo’s flagship title when showing off the online capabilities of the console.•There will be at least one new IP Nintendo will reveal at E3.•Nintendo is working on a new Zelda, but didn’t reveal anything to developers.
MISC.•Some developers have had the Wii 2 dev kit for going on 2 years now. When the Wii 2 is released in late, that’s 3 years to develop games on.•Because of such generous development time, Nintendo have pushed 3rd parties to develop high quality games to be released at or near launch.•Nintendo have sourced an external company to develop their online network, which the developer has commented, surpasses both the PS3 and 360 in terms of speed and functionality.•Nintendo is pushing for the console to be online 24/7 and have seamless online integration with many of their games•Friend codes are confirmed to be gone•Nintendo has been toying with the idea of a game where the main character is your Mii•Nintendo will be pushing their Pokemon RPG to showcase their online network•Rockstar are supposedly hard at work in bringing on of their “most popular” titles to the console

I hope they keep the motion controlling...I like the pointer controls for shooters and I enjoyed the hell out of Red Steel 2 with the motion plus.

All the children try to run,
To him its part of the fun.
His branching arms are for collecting,
His face is empty of expressing.
He sometimes hums a lowly drone,
He will wander 'round your home.
Dressed in darkest suit and tie,
He won't let you say goodbye.

If even some of this is true we're looking at the greatest system ever invented.
Now all it needs is Tingle's Smexi Dance Party as a launch title alongside Mario, then we'll see who's really the most popular Ninty character! Tingle obv.

Judging from what we see here, it sounds like it won't use pointer controls. And honestly, that just made my day. Now I actually have some hope for this freakin' thing.

I doubt they would just drop motion controls like that, and I hope it at least has a gyroscope or IR pointer. I suck at aiming with an analogue stick.

They did say it was in development, but I don't see how they could fit two analogue sticks and two trigger buttons on a pointer controller. BassX0's post did say it has a gyroscope, though.
'Course, it's all just a rumor right now.

I was thinking something like a GameCube controller with an IR sensor at the top.
I'm calling BS on the detachable screen.

I don't understand all of this if it's true. Why would Nintendo create a system that is slightly better than the PS3 now, when Xbox 720 and PS4 are likely years away from release and will be insane. This rush to grab core gamers back is nuts. Why would anyone who owns a PS3 and/or Xbox 360 pay what is looking to be $400+ for this to play the exact same games they can already play on the system they already own?
It's a proven fact that the PS3 can far surpass the Xbox 360, but it's easier for third party developers to create equal games on two systems, and they will do the same thing for this system.
Supposedly Nintendo has already told the third party developers that they "will NOT release AAA First Party Titles during holiday system to allow for their games to sell on their system" too, and also trying to give them ideas for the touchscreen so the games wont use the detachable screen for "Tamagotchi styled mini-games and memory card purposes only".
If all of this is true, this puts Nintendo in the Current gen 5 years late, and a few years from now they will likely be in the same position they are now. I think this is a mistake if it's true!

Nintendo doesn't care for high specs that beat the other two. in that area, they choose to remain a generation behind sony and microsoft. the technology is cheaper now than when the PS3 and XBOX 360 were new. they dont want to sell a $400+ console at launch.
instead they lead with innovation and new play controls. and now it looks like they're taking online more seriously.

But of course basically everything we've heard besides the fact that Nintendo is revealing a new console at E3 is all rumor. So to be completely cheesy, "expect the unexpected" I suppose.

Detachable screen that kids could bring to school, get it stolen, and not be able to play the system at home with? yeah a detachable screen would be a terrible idea. Just make the controller the screen, add buttons.

I'm hoping for 2 controller options - a screenless one for the games that don't need it (and thus much cheaper) and then another with a screen. Kind of like the Motion Plus.. except that got way under-used because it was optional, so Nintendo needs to show off second screen capabilities from the beginning.

Nintendo's next console will be the PS2 of next generation- as in it will be the weakest of it's competitors but the difference will only be a puddle- not an ocean.
Keep Wii Remote and Nunchuk compatible for those games I can't play with dual analogue anymore. I personally believe that needs to evolve just as people saying Nintendo needs to move to HD. Fair enough.
I really don't think PS4 or 720 will be too much of a threat. Yeah, it'll be powerful, but like I said, most likely a 'tad'. This isn't going to be a PS2 vs Xbox 360 situation in terms of power.

Nintendo not releasing big titles during the holiday season is about as possible as people never trolling Youtube again. It ain't gonna happen
By the way, who the heck is this "www.qj.net" because this sounds bogus to me
