I thought both games were pretty bad.

Looking forward to: No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again

I also played the Knack demo in a shop and like many others, i quit before finishing the demo level. It was a mix of false expectations and an overly huge hype i guess. Its was the first time i got to play on a PS4 and Knack was pretty underwhelming. Since Knack would have been one of the only titles that interested me in the slightest, that was the moment i said to me "for something like THAT i dont need such an expansive console"
Ill rather wait till the lineup has atleast a handfull of titles that i want. The good thing is, using the PSN Store via a PC, you can register PS+ games from all systems, owned or not.
So i can basicly "buffer" these games up to get a small library of titles once i decide to get that system sometime.

With Sonic Lost Worlds is was basicly the other way around. I was turned down by the NL review. I thought that Sonic Team has missed the mark. Playing the demo afterwards left me a bit confused. I was expecting two things: The usual "Unleashed = hold forward and run straight to the finish" gameplay and, taking the NL review into account, a really bad game.
And ive got neither, which was kinda interesting to be honest.

A couple of days later, ive watched a youtube review by "Clementj642", a huge sonic fan since day one. And his statement was the deciding factor for me to get the game. When it comes to reviews, i usually try to read / watch at least one of any polarity. At least one from someone who didnt like it and one from someone who loved it. When the flaws dont matter to me and im looking forward to its pro points, i decide to get the game.

So, you thought the game was interesting, but did you enjoy it? What's your final assessment.

I hope the gameplay is good as the voice acting / cut scenes are really offputting to me

I've said this before, but I thought Knack was pretty weak. I played the demo at GameStop, too. Nothing compared to the W101 demo, IMO, or even the Sonic Lost World one.

That's why I have Wii U, instead of PS4. I honestly think Wii U has better games.

@Tritonus Lets say, the gameplay is...different from what you might expect.
If youve played the very first Geneesis / Mega Drive Sonic, lets compare it to marble / labyrinth zone.
First, you have a straight forward level that caters towards fast, straight forward gameplay and then you get two levels that are rather slow and more traditinal in a platformer sense.
The same could be said about Lost Worlds. It is a much much slower game copared to unleashed / colors, which isnt necessarily a bad thing. It emphasises platforming more than lighning fast speed. Its really hard to describe, and sinc ethe game offers quite a lot of different gameplay elements and gimmicks, the demo doesnt really show what you get.
I would rekoment wathing bits and pieces of a lets play on youtube as well as playing the demo. I cant comment on the voice acting, since we (in germany) have our own german voice cast that is "ok", nothing spectacular but they get the job done
The cutscenes are very well made and very cartoonish and the villains are all blatant stereotypes. Either you like them or hate them. The story doesnt take itself too seriously and thats what i really like about it and these over the top saturday morning cartoon villains really fit in quite well.
