Topic: Sonic: Lost World much better than low scores suggest

My sister's a huge Sonic fan (Im not) so I bought her Lost World as an early bday present. It started out a little tricky with the control scheme, and a couple of the Zone 1 levels were tough for us. But as Zone 2 started and we figured the control scheme out, we're starting to have a blast playing this game.

I just beat the big fat boss on, I believe it was, zone 2, level 2, and that giant cube object that you fight him on is GORGEOUS! Not to mention the fight itself was fun and creative.

As i type this, my sister just started with the touchscreen portion in 2:4. This part reminds me of Rayman Legends a little.

Anyways, bright colors, creative and inventive platforming, and a fairly brutal difficulty make this a ton of fun in my book (i like a challenge). Besides fairly akward controls, which can be mastered with practice, i dont see why this game scored so low!

7.5-8.0 for me so far. It's not Rayman Legends or Mario 3DW, but this is good fun!

Yeah, it's definitely not the best Sonic game. But it's very far from the worst.

It's better than most critics give it credit for.

It's just down to my opinion.
I don't have the game (and I don't plan to get it), but based on all the gameplay I've seen and my brief time playing it, I really quite dislike it.

score is around 7 (for me) .... or 6.9

But if you like platformer games don't worry just buy it xD

A 7/10 is not a bad game by no means. I like Sonic, and from what I've played of the Lost World Wii U demo this one will be a keeper for me.

It's certainly not a horrible game. You just have to get used to a few things. I feel like they were doing a great deal of experimentation on this game. I liked Colors a lot more though, but Lost World is still a good game and worth checking out if you like platforming. I also suggest looking at some gameplay or playing the demo before buying since everyone has a different opinion on it.

It's an Okay game. I feel that it takes a few misteps at the Colors/Generation formula but its still a good game. Take review scores with a grain of Salt apparent Knack and Ryse where better than the reviews lead us to believe. Or battlefield which had got really good reviews despite being a broken game on all systems its on.

I played the 3DS demo and it feels like if it was for pros, the controls were alright, but the control response wasn't. I would give the 3DS version a 6.5

I'm going to get Mario & Sonic at the Olympics first- then get this sometime next year.

I love platformers but everything feels really weird in this sonic game... but I did only play the demo... maybe the actual game is better.
