How about a new Sonic game for the Wii U?

But I'd still love to see this game on Wii U. The 3DS version was pretty forgettable.

TBH the 3ds version should have been made for the E shop instead it was not worth 39.99 at all.

I'd rather see a actual 2d sonic with sprites and such for the wii u's e-shop or something..

No, Sonic Generations was disappointing (mainly due to the severe lack of content). If anything a brand new Sonic game, or if they do bring Generations, at least double the amount of stages.

Why do people rag on the 3DS version? Or why do people compare it to the console version? To put it into context, the console version was in development since Unleashed came out in 2008. The 3DS on the other hand was just revealed in 2010. Since Dimps was working on Colors at the time the game must have started development late in that year. The Console version has more stages, better cutscenes, and you can change the music for each stage.
The 3DS version has Autostereoscopic technology, special stages, 3D models of in game characters and anniversary action figures, and connection features like race mode and profile cards. Given the amount of time it's amazing the amount of content.
Also in my opinion the 3DS version has better bosses (especially the time eater), better level design, and both Sonics handle better.

Never played 06 and don't plan on I stopped after Heroes and started up again with Colors. I mean, it just boggles my mind that Sonic Generations was so lacking in content when Sonic Colors had well over 60 stages so there's no excuse really, especially since they had a massive amount of content to choose from.

Pretty sure that rumored Sonic Dimensions will be filling that void.

I rather see an original Sonic game on the Wii U, even though the HD version of Generations is awesome.

Didn't Sega already say that Generations for the U won't be happening anyways? I think they said it'll be getting a new game or something.
