Nah, I dont think Sonic the Hedgehog (06) was that much like Sonic Adventure. Sure it was a Sonic-game but there were plenty of different additions like the open-world city hub, it was not linear and not set into different stages. It was also completely worthless which neither SA or SA 2 was : )
@Xilef: Gameplay might have been similar for certain characters, but the story was way different. (and I mean that in a bad way in case you couldn't tell) But even so, Sonic Adventure 2's style of gameplay was obviously flawed in areas. Now that they've had a chance to come up with a style of gameplay better suited for Sonic himself, you'd think they could explore possibilities for other characters' style of play and perhaps even include them in a story somehow. (like SA2 did) SA2 was far from perfect, but I believe they could create something great from what they've learned. Unfortunately, in all reality, I don't think Sega is willing to take a risk and actually build on the cement foundation they've now set.
Yes. Sonic adventure 3!! I know people who would definitely buy that game.
I would want it pretty much like SA1, it was cool going through the the different areas like the city and forest, having to discover the levels and being able to find chao eggs. It was exciting. I liked the levels in SA2, but they could have been a bit more fast paced. Also if they made a SA3 I wouldn't want them adding new weird characters. Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, Amy, Tikal, Eggman and Big were great, then Cream and Cheese and Shadow were pretty cool too, but other than that I'm not a fan of Sega's new sonic characters. To me they get worse and worse. Why would a game series even need all those characters?? What are they going for? Sonic was originally awesome! Bolting through his loopy obstacle courses was addicting and then opening up to the 3D world of sonic with SA1 was beautiful and then I don't know what happened after that... I played like two of the newish (new to me) games, but they seemed like one time play through games. I can't imagine those games being anyone's favorite. No one has told me about any recent sonic games, so they must not be that good anymore. But I'm sure I would have heard about a SA3! That's how I know there is no SA3 and that's actually why I'm googling today to see why that is lol.
Anyways, if anyone starts a petition about it, some of my friends and I will definitely sign it!
