That's what I'm gonna call it, it's a wooooooh. Anyways, really enjoying it! Picked up the Mario and Luigi Deluxe set, and 3D World, as I do love platformers. I need to check out both Donkey Kong's, as I didn't play it on the Wii, and really want to do so, as I'm not too impressed with NSMBU. 3D World is amazing, and makes me smile, and laugh. I really love the Captain Toad puzzles, and will probably now pick up that game, too, when it releases.

My copy of Wonderful 101 has now been played, and boy do I suck at that game. However, I do love the whole superhero aspect (even if it is on the Power Ranger side of superheros), and it's a really well made game. However, I do not like the camera, and I also think some enemies are too damn hard (stupid shielded 4 wheelers OMG I HATE THEE). Anyway, it is a great game, though, very polished, and over the top campiness makes it really great.

Picked up playing my old copy of Xenoblade, too. Love that game, of course. And no, I don't care that I missed out on the Mario Kart promotion. I don't care much for the game (to actually buy it, but I'll take it as a gift).

Anyways, super hyped for SSB, of course, Xenoblade Chronicles X, and the mother of all Nintendo franchises (to me, anyway), Fire Emblem (CROSS WHATEVER OMG WHO CARES ITS FIRE EMBLEM). cough

Are you proud of me?

Use the dual sticks to create the shapes in W101, and play it on easy.........

Love DKC: Tropical Freeze, best platformer on the system IMO.

Yeah Wonderful 101's biggest problem is that it's like the anti-handholding that hates giving the player information reliably.

congrats, you made the correct next gen choice. You win the prize of primary colors and local multiplayer.

also despite my annoyance at Mario retro platformers being run into the ground, I probably should get 3D World at some point or something because it's probably awesome.

Easy, ugh. I probably should, though, lol. And yeah, it looks really good! Looks way better than NSMBU.

Well, I can't compare it to Galaxy...Galaxy is legendary in my book. However, 3D World is very different, but in a very good way. It's got a lot of variety, too, though. Some courses you can explore, some you have to kinda speed run, and well...I'm not gonna spoil anything. Each course does have a timer, though...I usually don't like timers, but it doesn't bother me in this game for some reason. I hated Pikmin, and it's timers, OMG. 3D World makes you feel like a kid again, though, just like Galaxy. So, they do share that. Just something about their 3D Mario games, Nintendo do a really amazing job with them.

it's made by the same team as Galaxy so I'm not surprised its quality. Their track record is insane, if limited in quantity.

W101's normal is pretty much a hard in any other game, a lot of press reviews complained about the difficulty spikes (including Nintendo Life?), if you want to see the whole game, without getting frustrated (and you will considering its unique setting and awesome cinematics), play it on easy.....

The best thing about Tropical Freeze are the environments and level creativity, which kicks NSMBU in the butt........although the latter has tighter control, but DKC was always more of a loose, rhythm based platformer IMO.

Anybody else find Pikmin 3 almost grating? I recognize it's a super-polished, unique game, but I find every time I try, I give up on completing a second run through, it almost seems like a chore.

If you like platformers can't go wrong with DKCTF and Rayman Legends both are fantastic, DKCTF being my favorite platformer on the system. Pikmin 3 is a good choice too and Tekken if you into fighting games.

DKCTF is my favorite game on the system. It has great variety, replay value, and a perfect difficulty that is tough but not too tough. I really enjoy it, more than Rayman and NSMBU. Pick it up!

To address your Wonderful woes, you can zoom the camera out, with one of either a left trigger or the left control stick. As for those tank enemies, I couldn't figure them out either, but if you buy that defensive shield power you'll be able to deflect their bombs and flip them over.

It's just complex and requires alot of thought to get the most out of everyday. I know what you mean, because I feel like I'm wasting time if I don't get things done ASAP. It's just better to let go and play through it leisurely. It's not like you'll run out of time as long as you get 1 fruit a day.

But seriously, congrats on your purchase. I agree with the advice given above regarding TW101, try dual-stick drawing and play it on easy for a less infuriating experience.

Great now you have a lot of games to play now new and old.

So far, Tropical Freeze has proven itself to be my favorite title on the system (thus far). If you like platformers, you'll love Tropical Freeze.

Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze is the best platformer I've played in a long time. Some of the level design made me grin ear to ear, and not many games can do that.

Also, highly recommend Zelda Wind Waker, even if you've played it before. There's enough streamlining and new content to make it worth a buy whether you've played it before or not. Oh, and it looks flat-out gorgeous.

Games I'm playing: Hotline Miami 2, Smash Wii U, GTA V, Dying Light, Resogun

Recently completed games: Hotline Miami, P.T., Shovel Knight

Games I want soon: Zelda U, The Witcher 3, Axiom Verge, Everyone's Gone to the Rapture

So how long did you hold out?? I was probably gonna take the wooooooh plunge sometime this year but with the Moto 360 and X+1 on the horizon, I think I'll hold out till 2015. Hopefully by then, the wooooooh's library'll be a little heftier than what it currently is.

The Wii U is a fun console. It has its flaws but its also incredibly underrated.

I own a Wii U and 3DS. I also own a PS4!
