The actual nintendo direct itself was really good you can tell Nintendo is getting a hold on how to better make these shows (or whatever you wanna call it) and you can see the improvement compared to the older Nintendo Directs. I feel like now they understand what people want to see and the kind of information they want to know. Some of the games though (esp. Hyrule Warriors) meh (well actually I thought Hyrule Warriors was the worst idea ever).

I was surprised, but not mind-blown, with this Nintendo Direct. It's better than the previous ones with the exceptions of E3 and January Nintendo Directs. I hope Nintendo provides something like we saw today in future Nintendo Directs.
Making promise is easy. The hard part is keeping it.

Hyrule Warriors wins it for me. As a long time Dynasty Warriors fan, this is something unexpected and I love it for that. But the question on my mind in regards to Warriors is... Who is going to be this games "Lu Bu" and when can I be expected to be curb stomped by him?

Formally known as "AzureFashionista" but I'm one letter short... Life's hollow.
Also formally known as "Meat Shield."

I thought everything was great. I didn't mind the smaller titles all that much, but they're there, and they showed alot of good stuff for already announced games, IMO.
Hyrule Warriors was completely out of the blue. I watched it in high def through the Wii U eShop. Everything always looks better on the eShop.

It was exactly what it should have been. Consistently interesting titles that take advantage of their franchises in not-boring ways, beginning and ending with the big stuff people will talk about on the internets.

Speaking of the eShop, why is its video player bad? It keeps buffering, even if it's in standard definition, and how can I fix this?

IDK, bro. It only buffered like 2 times for me at full 1080p. It depends on your internet or router, I think.
EDIT: My internet runs at 9mb/s download and 2mb/s upload. The only time my internet is slow, is if someone is streaming while I am.
I was disappointed with it. Some nice sizzle reels on upcoming stuff, but no exciting new announcements, although that Hyrule Warriors looks kinda cool. No release dates. No Super Mario 3 release announcement like Europe got.
I liked it, it had great pacing a lot of information on upcoming games a nice surprise reveal the only negative was that SMTIV still hasn't got a release date I hate how Atlus is so slow when it comes to bring games to UK/Europe.
I thought the best thing about it was just how much stuff they fit into the timespace they had. In previous directs I felt they took too much time on certain stuff like Art Academy, but this one moved along at a brisk pace while still providing trailers and updates.

Was really disappointed from a European perspective because of one thing. No mention of TVii!!! Now before you people bite my head off, go to the Nintendo UK website:
And for those of you who don't wont to click on it I'll save you the bother, there's a part which says this - Nintendo TVii will be available in selected regions throughout Europe in 2013.
This was their last chance to announce something for this year but given their recent track record of delaying updates and not delivering on promises I can't same I'm completely surprised. It's still annoying that Japan and USA have something but Europe is left with nawt. Even my Windows phone has the BBC Iplayer and only myself and 3 other people in the world have a windows phone!

Yeah it does suck that TVii is still not ready or even BBC iplayer.

Do eShop stream videos at 60fps? 'Cause it always feels like the video is smoother on eShop than on Youtube.
No, it's not at 60fps. It's not that big of a deal, though. The games themselves are at 60fps. Nintendo probably isn't willing to stream a higher framerate, but that doesn't mean they can't. They just don't support it.
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-watch-bf4-at... I looked at this video, and it runs at 60fps, but not 1080p without a hitch on Wii U. So ya, my preference of watching on the Wii U is mainly because I have a good HDTV and audio receiver. I don't think you csn find a Mario Kart 8 trailer running at 60fps, anywhere. As long as you see the graphics and gameplay, just know that the framerate will be double that. That's pretty much all I can say.
