The complaint of bluetooth is old news, Xbox 360 didn't have that, and everyone dealt with it in time. Wii U and Wii both have bluetooth, but it's probably used for a more dedicated controller connection.

EDIT: Maybe I should word this better... Nintendo probably has a higher priority than voice chat if they aren't working on it right now. It's not impossible to have bluetooth on Wii U, but they do have to program their console to do that. That alone takes time, and it might not be what they are working at this time, say, over next weeks update.
Or if they made it so that 3DS works for the console. That would be a better tradeoff for bluetooth headsets, but that doesn't mean it won't happen just because it doesn't happen first.

Nop, the Xbox 360 had a bluetooth headset. In fact, I owned 2 Xbox 360 bluetooth headsets (black & the green original Halo edition).

That wasn't bluetooth. It used a specific radio frequency that Xbox 360 used. The second version of the Xbox 360 headset(which was horrible) had bluetooth for use with phones, but the Xbox 360 itself didn't have bluetooth.
EDIT: The headsets communicated with Xbox 360 @ 2.4GH radio waves. Xbox 360 did not have bluetooth.

Ya, but you had to program it right? Bluetooth is the program to run bluetooth devices. Nintendo would have to license the Bluetooth logo for that to happen, which they probably won't.

Nop. I'm an FCC (Federal Communications Commission) licensed technical class ham radio operator. I know about wireless signals, radio wave propagation & bluetooth & how it works. You don't have to tell me how it works. It's no rocket science.

I'm pretty sure if it was as easy as everyone thought it is, it would already be there. Why did Microsoft not use Bluetooth licensed gear until 2010?
I know how the stuff works technologically, but you have to pay the people that developed and made it mainstream. Bluetooth is a registered trademark that Nintendo would have to pay off to use any Bluetooth device.
I know saying, 'it isn't rocket science', is a saying, but it actually literally would be considered rocket science by the way, so ya.
I understand Bluetooth uses 2.4GH to communicate. Besides, if it's so easy to run bluetooth on things, why don't you just use the Xbox 360 headset?

The Wii U is already a bluetooth enabled device. It uses bluetooth signal on its controllers. It' doesn't need licensing cuz it's already a licensed bluetooth device. What it needs is for Nintendo to add a software patch for wireless bluetooth headset functionality on it's device.

Jesus, the Wii U doesn't sync 3rd party bluetooth headset device. That's why I'm asking that they should patch the firmware for it to work. Now you're telling me to use an Xbox 360 headset. Do you really understand what we're talking here? It's like talking to a brick wall.

Oh, ok. That still goes back to what I said about how they probably have more important things to worry about, then, like the next week update(as well as other updates probably) and games. All you got to do is be patient and wait until Nintendo updates it.
That could be anytime, but it doesn't really bother me. I'm fine using the headphone jack.
I bought 2 bluetooth headsets before.
A cheap Motorola for $30(lost it), and an Xbox 360 Xbox to bluetooth headset(traded it for the regular one).
The headphone jack made it more accessible to have voice chat which also bought them time to upgrade other things. Voice chat is still available. I think that's the point.

Apparently not.
My question was why they won't which would bring licensing into the discussion, and you said that's not an issue.
Why even have bluetooth be a registered tradmark if it doesn't mean anything?
