Hurry up APRIL!!!

Cool. I'm pretty sure mine goes faster than the before one, but that might be because I have the games downloaded.

Seriously though, the update makes the stuff run like 3x faster. That's pretty good.

Nice speed increase on that, lets hope all the other screens go as fast.

Seriously though, I'd be cool with a little delay, but that's just... How...? Why...? I'm starting to question the Wii U, especially with the 3DS soarin right now.

This update seems only to be for Home Menu navigation. The update which decreases game loading times should be a little farther off.

Jesus. Thank god this is coming out soon.

I'm not sure what to think...that is a nice difference but after the 3DS updates so far I'll keep my expectations low.

It's called magic... Maybe they set the processing clock rate higher specifically for loading or something like that, then it goes back to normal when actually using the apps. Whatever the case, the Wii U is and will improve. This is proof of that.

The April update seems like a huge improvement over the OS we currently have, but remember guys there's another update later on in the year that'll speed up the OS even faster than this. All that aside, I wish Nintendo wouldn't just update JUST for stuff like stability and all that, I've noticed in the last systems like the DSi and Wii, that we only seem to get one or two free apps per system, why can't we get more than that? so far it's taken them at least two years to make the new flipnote sudio, I just wish Nintendo would give us a few more apps to show what the 3DS or WiiU can really do.

Yes. It does take a while, but things take time. These are pretty big things IMO. In order to move forward to the awesome stuff, they need to make sure their platforms can handle it, which is why these updates are necessary.

Sweet. I heard that after this the Virtual Console is going to be implemented? I'll probably buy a load of games on the Wii U VC, just for gamepad support alone. Come on Gamepad Blaster Master!

yeah i heard the vc is coming with this update too. looking forward to seeing what games it realeases with. Im really hoping for superstar saga for gba, or minish cap. two great games i missed out on for gba.

Almost halfway through April and I'm dying to know when this update is gonna be here, also can't wait for the VC.

Nintendo kept delaying things. Judging by how Nintendo do things I will not be surprised if we'll get this update close to the end of April.

Seeing how Nintendo is handling the Wii U is really sad. The 3ds has a direct and nothing about the Wii U at all. What makes it worst is that when the April update does happen I have a feeling it will just be about application speeds. The OS has much more issues to sort out also.

I dont mind waiting or getting the update on the 30th as long as the VC games are legit.

Yup, this is also what I'm afraid of. If this April update turns out nothing but stability upgrades then the months of waiting doesn't make sense. Nintendo has to add useful features on the Wii U on this upgrade to justify the long wait. The wireless bluetooth headset implementation in particular Nintendo should look into as it's current in-game voice chat feature is very rudementary compared to the other two current gen game consoles.
