Honestly, I'd rather just have a FE console game without the SMT. But, whatever. If it's totally developed by Atlus, I guess that's ok, but it's not what I wanted.

I never heard about the SMT series so I had no real hype, but I was interested in the idea at least. If this game isn't shown prior to e3 or during e3 I think it's pretty safe to say this got the boot.
I have only played Persona 3: FES, and it's been on hiatus for a one and a half years now, because I got stuck on boss I couldn't beat. It would do no good to continue from that, as I have forgotten all the machanics and such.
If Sega is indeed in trouble I don't know where that leaves this. I don't think we will see anything till it's closer to being released if it's released at all.

They're still releasing Persona 5 and they own Atlus,the developers who are making the game.So i don't know the problem here,i don't think the financial problem here will stop them from releasing Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem.But that's my take on it,i might be wrong.
I want to see this happen as much as anybody but I also see Atlus being bounced around a bit too much. I can see them being sold again soon. Plus this could also slow down the games production if Sega starts pulling resources from Atlus which I can see happen.

I am honestly so hyped for this game. I will enjoy the modern setting and I really really hope this is a GOTY contender for 2016(Im guessing it will come out that year)
Playing: Wargroove on Switch and Fire Emblem on GBA
The new trailer looks absolutely nothing like the 2013 teaser, and the style in general clashes with the more mature style of Shin Megami Tensei games (it looks more Fire Emblem than SMT, and I don' think that's a good thing), so I'll reduce my interest to "yeah, maybe".
