Topic: Smash WU: Off, & On-line Stability

Hi. Just curious to those that already own the (WU) game, is it stable online? As in, I know that there are some games that have been getting some weird errors, like that one that apparently bricks systems, & I know it comes from other games than Smash. I am curious if a WU system behaves erratic, after playing Smash both online, & offline? I don't wanna wreck my system. I don't want anybody else to either, so please no experiments w/ your own systems on my account. I am just curious if anyone had knowledge of any unwanted behavior in their WU system post-Smash-play. While I'm on the topic, does the online lag to the extent it did in Brawl? Lastly, I know this is the WU area of the forums, but rather than be redundant in topic creation, I also ask these same questions in regards to the 3ds Smash. Thanks in advance! Much appreciated! Early Merry Christmas!

I haven't had any issues or any serious lag in either of the versions apart from the occasional dude with a dodgy link. Infact the only time I had serious issues with it (on the 3DS) was when my connection was seriously playing up.

"Don't stir the pot" is a nice way of saying "they're too dumb to reason with"

The errors you're talking about were related to corrupted save files, not to online or any specific game. The problem with Smash U is that Smash doesn't show when it saves to disc. To prevent the error from happen, always close the games using the Home button. Do not turn off the power to the Wii U while you're in the game (specially when you're in Smash U).

I am getting a lot of lag when I play online and it's doing my head in.Not because of the game though but because it's my connection. The apartment I live supplies their own wifi and for Thai standards it's pretty quick but even with the router right outside my door it lags more often than not, sometimes to the point i'm lucky if its moving more than 1 frame every 8 seconds haha.I also feel the guilt of being the one responsible for screwing up the match.I know it's me because in spectator mode or sudden death its smooth as can be.I've tried using an ethernet cable through the Wii Lan adaptor and still it struggles majority of the time. When I used my phone as a portable hotspot running off my 3G data it worked a charm but after checking my usage after I wont be doing that again.Any of my other online games whether Wii or Wii U or even Android have had no issues.
