Topic: Smash Tour end game glitch?

Sorry if this is a repeat, I searched the forums but found nothing.

I was playing Smash Tour against 3 CPUs today, just trying to unlock challenges. At the end of the game during the final battle, I lost all my characters and it was down to 2 CPU players, one with a single fighter left and one with 3. Like idiot CPUs, they hardly touched each other, so eventually the time ran out and the announcer said "GAME!" Everything slowed down as normal, but.... the game didn't end. Instead it just continued in slow motion, with the two ineptly fighting each other. After awhile I noticed that they weren't dealing any damage to each other, and after several minutes, one of the CPUs managed to knock the other off the platform and the other fell to his... not death. Apparently they couldn't die either. So now it just showed one CPU on the platform jumping around uselessly, and the camera was zoomed out so you could "see" the other CPU player who was hanging out off the bottom of the screen.

I tried pushing buttons, nothing worked. Had to reset the game to proceed. So much for unlocking challenges... sigh.

Has this happened to anyone else? Has Nintendo acknowledged the bug so it will hopefully be fixed in a patch?

I had a funny thing happen to me with Smash Tour too.

I was playing with CPU's and only had two fighters for the last battle, But I did outlast one of the CPUs.

When the match ended it suddenly went to sudden death with me and a CPU.

I obviously lost, I had no idea that would happen so I was not ready for a sudden death

That's because your placement in the final battle is based only on how many KOs you had. It's not a typical stock match, and falls don't count against your score. Your KO count is your score. Only that. Nothing more.

Formally called brewsky before becoming the lovable, adorable Yoshi.

Oh.

Some sort of warning before the battle would've been super usefult then.
