Nintendo is likely not to give us much of anything on Zelda U until E3, so don't hold your breath.

Anyway, I can't see them waiting any longer than February for a Direct. We know very little about the early 2016 release schedule and most of everything has a vague "2016" release window. We need some more specific release dates soon, especially for whatever's planned for Spring.

If one does happen, hopefully it'll be used to announce localized games. Still waiting for Rhythm heaven 3DS, MHX, and EarthBound 2.

There is bound to be a Nintendo direct between now and E3

Exactly.It feels like it is somehow still alive while people are asking for it (kinda like after Firefly got cancelled.)

If the NX is releasing this year, then we will be hearing about it within the first three months. If not, then the focus of the one or two pre-E3 directs will be Q3/Q4 Wii U games (with some other stuff thrown in, of course).

If Nintendo expects to launch a console this year, then they need to have a press conference—not a direct—in the first quarter of the year.

@Haru17: plus CES is this week and NX is likely gonna be at CES behind closed doors so I'm sure there'll be some kind of supposed NX rumor or leak this week. I'd NX is launching this year, February would be the month to formally reveal it.

Seems like of crazy that Splatoon and Smash Bros are nearing their final updates. It makes me wonder what's next for the the Wii U since most of their big hits have already been released. Aside from Zelda and Star Fox, I wonder what it really has going for it, but I will still be playing Splatoon and Smash Bros for a long time (they're very addicting).
