Topic: October 1st Nintendo Direct Predictions

It's coming and we all know it. So why not make some predictions? Here are my predictions:

Nintendo will discuss previously announced titles further. (Super Mario 3D World, Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, Super Smash Bros. 4, Mario Party: Island Tour, Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD, Sonic Lost World, Pokemon X & Y, Mario Kart 8, Yarn Yoshi, Yoshi's New Island, etc.) Hopefully Nintendo gives us a new trailer for Super Mario 3D World and a new trailer for Super Smash Bros. 4 including an official title for the game. Plus, hopefully, Nintendo can announce a Kirby game for 3DS. (Hopefully a 3D platforming Kirby game that I've always been itching for. If not, then a new 2D platforming Kirby game, a Kirby's Epic Yarn sequel or spiritual successor, or a Kirby's Tilt 'n' Tumble sequel.)

Nintendo will reveal more Nintendo e-Shop games for Wii U and 3DS. Hopefully Nintendo gives out a release date for Super Mario Bros. 3 on 3DS VC, as well as release dates for Sega 3D Classics, and possibly even Miiverse on 3DS. Also I'd like to see new 3DS e-Shop digital titles, such as possibly a Harmoknight sequel, Chibi Robo: Let's Go! Photo localization, Pokemon Trading Card game for 3DS e-Shop, and possibly even a new IP.

As for Wii U e-Shop, Super Mario Bros. 3 release date of course, as well as more info on GBA and N64 on Wii U VC. Plus, I'd like to hear some info about Sega Genesis and Sega Saturn games on Wii U VC. And also, I want to hear about some digital-only tites for Wii U e-Shop, including a Wii U e-Shop exclusive IP. I'm also like to see a third installment to the Pushmo series on Wii U.

Finally, I would like a release date for Flipnote Studio 3D. An announcement for a Flipnote Studio application on Wii U would be welcome. Well, those are all of my predictions. What are you guys' predictions for the forthcoming Nintendo Direct? Please discuss!

EDIT: Oh yeah, I forgot to mention Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. Thanks for bringing that game up, @DestinyMan! (How did I forget that... that is one of my current most anticipated Wii U games.)

There's gonna be a huge Fall update that gives 3DS Miiverse and Nintendo Network IDS and unified accounts... so I bet Nintendo will do a huge Direct in October.

I don't think there will be a September Direct. Has that been confirmed?

I think a October Nintendo Direct is more likely because Nintendo is gonna brag about the sales of Pokemon X/Y ^.^ AND talk more about Sonic Lost World. I don't think we will get FlipNote 3D until that huge update for 3DS/Wii U. They'll talk about Zelda 3D some more and will prolly reveal some Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem info.

And then there's that new IP that Shigeru Miyamoto is working on....

Iwata will be there.

But joking aside I don't think there will be too much of X/Y, seeing there was already a Direct focused entirely on it earlier. As for the rest, there will be the usual more info on this year's games like 3D World, Tropical Freeze, Lost World, ect. Maybe something on SMT X FE, X, Mario Kart, Smash Bros., and other 2014 titles, and hopefully the fabled account system update.

Also hoping for some insight as to what happened to those promised Pikmin animated shorts.

I'm guessing the next direct will be right before TGS this month, since they had a huge Wii U announcement Nintendo Direct right before last year's TGS

Until I hear confirmed news on there being a direct, I'll sit back and wait. Although there's much better stuff they could take about other than virtual console games, IMO. I would love to hear news on Majora's Mask remake for 3DS =P

I doubt there will be any compensation for Early adopters of the Wii U since it took over a year for a $50 price drop as opposed to an $80 price drop in 3 months like they did with the 3DS but here's hoping people get lucky. I just wanna hear Miiverse reveal on the 3DS and I want to see how it's going to work on the 3DS as opposed to the Wii U. Hopefully more pokemon reveals esp. the final forms of the starters so I know which to pick cuz as of now I kinda hate them all. I hope they reveal some crazy game we've been wanting but aren't expecting. New Smash Bros characters is always a good thing.

They've had a big "Nintendo Direct" right before TGS every year since they started doing them, so it's coming.

• New Smash character reveal (probably newcomer, since this is always one of their largest Directs of the year)
• New info on ALBW, SM3DW, and DKTF (maybe even a reveal of the 4th playable character)
• A surprise Wii U announcement (probably an eShop release)
• The 3DS Mario Party will finally be given some attention.
• Sizzle reels for upcoming 3DS & Wii U eShop games.

A Nintendo Direct before TGS? So... next week I'm guessing a new Nintendo Direct will be streamed. That seems legit. I can't wait!

I wouldn't doubt it, but then again they could do it the day (or after) The Wind Waker HD is released.

I expect another collaboration and more info on the current ones.

We'll get more trailers for games this Holiday and maybe a few extra details on games coming next quarter.

@ScroogeMcLz yet another collaboration? if Nintendo was able to do so it would get a really good adantage! but I'm really interested in the collaboration with Capcom, or it was just another rumor?

I'm almost fully positive that Nintendo has said that the Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS titles are final. I think if there is a September Nintendo Direct it will focus on the Wii U update, the 3DS Update, Wind Waker HD, Mario 3D World, Sonic Lost World, Pokémon X/Y and A Link Between Worlds.
