Dam, looks like I messed up as much as Nintendo, I've been following somebody elses comments thread but not my own.

https://www.nintendolife.com/forums/wii-u/wii_u_error_code_105...

I'm such a fool when I'm angry.

Anyway, Nintendo called me at 10AM on a Sunday morning to tell me my eShop was working, only 24 hours after my 2nd phone call to them., so that was nice of them. Still no sign of my save data, but t least my purchased games are mine for the downloading.

For those who were asking - I had 2 problems - my tv goes black every few seconds, mostly when playing Pokemon Rumble U. It still does this so I went through all this and lost my save date for nothing. Maybe it is my tv afterall, dammit. 2nd, 2 of 5 discs I tried din't work so I assumed there was anintrnal error connecting the 2 problems. I've only tried 2 discs so far and they both worked so thats good anyway.

Moral of the story - back up your data. I'm going to back it up on an old externall HDD once I figure out which one to use.

I'm going to let this thread drive - I'd delte it but I'm a pack rat - and continue posting on that other guys thread, he has a much better title and I can figure out how to edit mine.

Click edit to the right of the date and time you posted. Since that's the original post(post that started the thread), you can edit the title and/or the text in the post.

Sounds like the disc problem was the main problem you were having. That was definitely a fault of the system itself. The Pokemon Rumble U "blackouts" were pointing to you're TV as the fault. I recall you asking this question before and I thought it was the TV automatically, but I wasn't aware that discs weren't being read either, so I can see how you thought it was the Wii U for all issues.

Hope you figure it out. I hate when stuff doesn't work too(whoo doesn't?). When I was trying to find a good A/V receiver, I tried a cheaper Denon first. Sometimes the HDMI wouldn't sync, so I thought it was a problem with something I had done. There's only so much you can try until you realize you have to return stuff. The only difference between that and the Wii U is that there is no other alternative, which there obviously is for audio receivers(Sony, Pioneer, Yamaha, etc.).

I am very sorry to tell you that backing up problably won't work. As soon as you want to conect your HDD tou your replacing Wii U, it has to be formatted again. It's dumb as love, but it prevents piracy.
For pete's sake, i asked him to watch the profanity, you even quoted my warning, and then you pop off too? Please be careful :/ — TBD

I changed the name of the thread - thank you SCAR392 - to reflect my main issue w/ Nintendo - phone reps not being able to fix the problem or explain what it is. And h yeah, all my save data being deleted, still mad about that but I know I should have backed it up. At least if I kept a back-up copy I could be even more mad at Nintendo for it not working. I don't like the new title but somebody else already has a 104 Wii U error code title, which I still feel bad about copying but I think it's a relevant issue. Good thing their systems work better than Microsofts.

And my apologizes to TBD for having to pull double duty. Anger is seldom vented politely.
