So today I sold my Wii U. It was not planned it was just one of them days where I woke up and looked at my Wii U and said right your gone. It is a shame really as I really like the Wii U console. But there is just noting out that interests me at all. I am not a fan of Mario (though I like the kart games). Or Zelda or Metroid or anything like that. But before I got the Wii U I thought there would be some decent titles that is not mario or zelda. I was right at first we got some decent games like ZombiU and Need for Speed, Mass Effect 3, Assassin's Creed 3 ect.
But after that what have we really had? Some really poor ports such as Sniper Elite, FIFA, Splinter Cell. The Wii U is getting some decent titles in the next few months such as Assassin's Creed 4 and Watchdogs.
But sadly at least for me these games are not enough to make me keep the wii u. I really hope more the wii u picks up I really do. As I mentioned I love the gamepad and the console it's self is a great console. Its just the lack of titles available for it.
I hope this time next year there will be some no scrap that a lot of excellent titles for the Wii U. So I can then pick up a basic pack or something.
I have to admit I am almost in the same boat as you especially with the PS4 coming out in 2 months. However I know the moment I sell it off some great game will be announced for the Wii U and than I will have to buy one again.

I have so many downloads on my Wii U, I know I won't be selling it. I have 5 retail, 15 downloaded, 22 Virtual Console games and a bunch of Wii Titles, plus I am very happy with my Wii U
People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Even though everyone says the Wii was an awful system with hardly any good games, there are still a ton of gems on it that honestly make the PS360's library look like a joke. And with all the good games on Wii, I would bet a tycoon wallet full of rupees that you haven't played most of them. For me I bought a Wii U so I could catch up on some of the great Wii titles before the big games started coming out for the Wii U. And between Xenoblade, WWHD, Metroid Prime 3 and finishing Earthbound, I'm going to be a busy gamer. Oh and just look at those titles. One is an RPG that makes Skyrim wet itself, another is hailed as one of the greatest adventure games of all time, the other part of a trilogy that was spawned by what many call one of the best games of all time, and the last a classic RPG that's still a blast to play to this day. I've had more fun with my Wii U in the past 2 months than I have had with my 360 in the past 4 yrs.
Oh and one more word, or letter rather. X.
"The future doesn't belong to you!"
Waiting for: BOTW 2, Metroid Prime 4, Xenoblade Chronicles 3
Ugh, but when the games you DO want come out you need to buy the console all over again!
This I honestly don't mind. I got the zombiu pack for £299 last year. I sold the extra wireless controller it came with for £20 a few months ago. I sold ZombiU for £15 a few months ago and sold the wii u console for £220. So I pretty much lost £45 but I did enjoy most of the time I had with the Wii U so yer am not bothered at all by the £45. If say this time next year the wii u has some real good titles I know I will enjoy I really won't mind giving Nintendo more money via buying a Wii U basic pack.

If he likes to waste money then let him. I doubt he made all his money back when he sold it.
Well you would of known if I did or not if you actually read the thread. I lost out on £45 now if you don't think £45 is worth it for pretty much 9 months use of a Wii U and got to play some really good games on it that is your opinion. My opinion is I think that was £45 well spent .

I read it. But it seems dumb to just do that. I remember the PS3 having the same problem would you sell out? Hell no! You would keep it! I But then again, we have opinions like you mention. Just don't be surprise when you do it again for your purchases on future consoles.
