Topic: RUMOR: nintendo ReUmagined range

Seeing as Wii U can play Wii games like the Galaxy series I would prefer Nintendo to use their resources to make new games for Wii U instead.

I hope they do a Mario Sunshine or Galaxy one just so they technically don't have to turn Mario platformers into annual series bs.

This just isn't true. Online Co-Op for Super Mario 64 and no online co-op in their brand new Wii U Mario game? Hasn't this guy spread rumors before as well? I'd take this with the tiniest grain of salt I could find. Don't get your hopes up. Seems like he's just trying to get hits on his site. He probably thought of the word ReUmagined and thought it was clever enough to pass as a possible truth.

That is possibly the worst name I've ever heard for anything ever.
Nintendo will release more remakes, but not under a name that sounds like it's been thought up by a 10 year old.

Everything matches up besides eshop only. It would maybe be eshop first and then retail, but digital only seems non Nintendo. Everything else sounds WONDERFUL!

Super Mario 64 DS had more content than this, why would they bother remaking 64 again and not add something that 64 DS didn't?

Honestly it's not that far fetched I mean on the Wii we did get the "New Play Control" series which was Gamecube games turn into Wii games. I'm hoping if it's real that is they at least offered discount price to those who bought the N64 version on Wii VC. Plus the timing matched the time when the "New Play Control" series was introduced.

For me, it would need to have quite a "reimagining" for me to take them up on it. If, from a single-player standpoint, SM64HD was just as it is when not HD with only inclusions for 2-player co-op, then I'd pass. Even though I hadn't played SM64 in years, I still remember where to get many of the stars and how to get them, which in turn trivializing it. If it was the same sort of gameplay but the worlds were different in that I'd have to actually play to learn them, then that might be the winning ticket.

DLC was none Nintendo until it wasn't.

phewph Now that that's out of my system, this rumor doesn't sound very good, let alone credible. Why would Nintendo devote resources to add online what's supposed to be a cash-in? Especially one that's a redux of what was always meant to be a singleplayer experience? And When did we get the update for two gamepads at once?

Those just had different controls, the graphics were exactly the same. So it wasn't that much work

I actually hope Super Mario Sunshine HD is still in the works.

It is a nice idea to pad out libraries. If Nintendo is going to go at it alone they need more boxes on the shelves. Plus with less and less generations having played those games it is a great way to hook the older players and gain a new generation of fans at the same time. If it done the same way windwaker was with actual changes made to the game rather than just upscale then I would be very interested. If its just upscale it would depend on the game as to if I would buy or not.

I think they'll call it the New range.
