Exibit B Miyamoto saying that they would like to remake mario games but we need other teams to do it.
Exibit C Anouma did hint about majora's mask easter egg on A Link Between Worlds. It's vague but it could connect to this rumor.
Super Mario 64 would be simple graphically considering you could use 3D World's engine to remodel all of Mario 64's worlds, then add in new features and gameplay tweaks, make it run 60fps then, Super Mario 64 HD~ personally I would love to see Mario 64 get this treatment but I feel if they were to do this I'd rather see it in a eshop/retail release, Mario All-Stars 2, containing 64, Sunshine, and the Galaxy games all in HD but thats just me and I'd still download Mario 64 HD if it were true.
I don't think this is true just because Nintendo isn't silly enough to do something like this. If they're going to remake and rerelease games to cover up the lack of third party releases, won't this just make the WiiU an even less attractive option for third party developers? Not only will they have to deal with a small install base and a hardware framework different to the other consoles, they'll also have to compete against Nintendo's own remade games for the attention of an audience comprised nearly entirely of Nintendo fans. After that I'll be surprised if any developer besides Nintendo will bother releasing anything for the WiiU.
always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)
If this is true (which I heavily doubt it is), then this would be a good move to fill in the gaps between major releases since not many 3rd parties can be trusted at this point. I would lose my mind over a Pokemon Snap remake. Of course, I'd rather have a sequel but a remake would serve me just fine since the original hasn't lost any of it's replay-ability (I wish my N64 was working so I could go play it right now actually ).

If this were to be true, I'd buy prepaid cards in bulk this later this year (with Christmas money, of course) just to be prepared lol
I kinda hope that if they remake anything, it will be more Game Cube games though. Paper Mario 2, Mario Sunshine, Pokemon Colosseum, Luigi's Mansion, Twilight Princess, Four Swords Adventures, etc, etc, etc. That would be easier to develop and sweeter than than a bunch of sugar coated Mario 64 remakes.
Whilst I don't know if this is actually true, I don't know why so many people think it's a bad idea. If they decided to go this route, and it was eShop only, it would basically amount to the Wii U's version of the 3DS' 3D Classics range, and I really enjoyed those.

is that such a bad thing? (for us not nintendo) i mean a nintendo console with nothing but nintendo games made for nintendo fans, sounds like a dream to me. if i can have brand new shiny nintendo experiences and all my old favourates, updated and brought up to today's standard at the same time id be a happy, happy man. 3rd partys can abandon the wii u for all i care, ill end up getting one of the other consoles further down the line anyway, lets face it any 3rd party games will have there best versions on the ps4/xbone anyway.
Sound awesome. But there are already enough annoying people who claim Nintendo only does nothing but remakes just because of Wind Waker HD alone. So I'm not sure how I'd feel if even more remakes were made.
WWHD, Ocarina of Time 3D, A link to the Past (same map), DK:CR 3D, Black/White 2, Soul Silver/Heart Gold, Leaf Green/Fire Red, Super Mario 64/DS, The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, Kirby Super Star,, Pikmin.
Just to name a few. I'm sure there are more. Nintendo makes a HELL of a lot of remakes/use recycled content.
I'm skeptical to be honest. Turning a Nintendo 64 game into a Wii U game with HD graphics is just not a matter of redoing textures in a higher level of quality, you'd also need to remake all the basic 3D models and level geography to make them look good with said textures. Otherwise you end up with... well, something a bit like this:
Looks okay, but a bit underwhelming because of how the basic models aren't detailed enough at all.
And things like co-op multiplayer and extra game modes seem highly unlikely for ports in this sense. Especially if Nintendo's plans are to get these games released quickly.
I still believe they'll make it the Super Mario 30THD collection(get the pun? ) and release it in 2015.

Any idea how much this rumor has spread? I ask because I've come to understand something about video game rumors: Basically, if you keep hearing about it and keep seeing it on multiple sites, especially big ones like IGN and such, then inevitably there's at least a tiny bit of truth to it. (Like XBO coming in 2013, PS4 and XBO having 8GB of RAM, 3DS revision in 2012, etc.)
Err... that's not true at all. It's spread, but it's always been noted as coming from the Paul Gale Network, or in other words, just one (potentially unreliable) source.
The sites posting it just post it to get hits because of how ridiculous the whole thing sounds. There's likely no truth to it.

but even a lie has a meaning behind its words, even if just the fact it is a lie(does it sound cool?)
