I hope so much that this is true! In all honesty, 2014 is looking kinda dry when we look at the confirmed titles list. Even if they space out the ones that don't have release dates yet, launching a program like this would definitely help inject some much needed software on to the WiiU and raise interest.

Chances are we won't be hearing anything soon because of A Link Between Worlds. They're not in the business of flooding a platform with Zelda releases and aren't going to do anything to take Zelda fan's eyes away from this new 3DS game anytime soon.
If Majora's Mask 3D happens and I believe it will, it won't be anytime soon. I suspect that Fall 2014 is the earliest we can expect to get word on this and spring 2015 is the earliest we could expect a release. But I rather suspect it will be more like January 2015 for the unveiling and a late summer/early Fall release.
They...kinda said it themselves, and Anouma even said there could be a hint of it in the new Zelda game.

Thank you for sharing this story and for accurately reporting it as a rumor, for that's what I labeled it as. If I do receive more concrete information, I will definitely share it...and that goes for both it being proven true or false.
I personally hope it is the real deal, because it'd be a smart move for Nintendo to make in my opinion. If smaller teams could focus on several month long titles to pump out that are awesome, in between the more grand 2-4 year development games for Wii U, then why not?
We'll see how this paves out and hope for the best in the time being.

I could swear I read somewhere that Wind Waker HD only took them about 6 months to develop, was surprisingly simple to remake it from the GCN version into HD. While we can't really tell, in no way would it would take several years to make. They are working on Zelda U as we speak, you know? This was a side project, Mickey.
