Topic: Robin Williams NPC in Zelda U?

He's already being put into WoW, a game which he played regularly.

IDK. Not trying to offend anyone. I know these people do it because they love Robin Williams and they love Zelda and he was a fellow fan, but I feel like it's too early for things like these to be going around the internet. I also feel like his family should have a say in this.

Zelda would be OK with this because she was named after the famous princess and her dad loved the game series. But it's too early for this type of stuff.

I don't feel there's such a thing add "too early" unless he wasn't dead, yet. However, it losses meaning if the petition forces it. If Nintendo is going to do this, it needs to be their own idea and secretly agreed upon between them and the Williams family.

I would be ok with this but I would hope that they would ask his wife and the rest of his family first.

I thought Robin looked extremely like the king of Hyrule especially with the beard I'd be happy to see a clear representation of him, hearing he died really did upset me

@VoodooTrumpet, callous or not, is completely right. However, Nintendo would first want to even do this, then they'd have to get family approval. I think this is about a 0.06 percent chance, and if I'm wrong, I really don't give an eff because this would change nothing gamewise.

Are we allowed to post petitions as threads? I thought we had to do that from our signatures? Regardless, he's getting put into WoW. I think that's good enough.

Yes is very politte and right, I really think could be something very special but like it was spoken, it's not the time to do it.

Yeah, going out and saying "we will have a NPC that looks like <recently deceased celebrity>" so soon after their death feels more like using death to generate publicity.

I think people should be content with Nintendo's response for now. Any announcement at this time would more likely come across as a tactless publicity stunt.

Even if they do include him in Zelda U (very unlikely, but hey, anything's possible!), I doubt they'll make a buzz about it. Give his likeness to a kind-hearted farmer and leave it for the fans to discover.
