Topic: Resident Evil Remake?

I'd like to see Resident Evil 0 with local and online co-op. They should switch the camera / controls to the Revelaitons style. Also, add in a new difficulty, that way fans of the classics RE games, like myself, can still enjoy the harsh difficulty (limited saves, ammo, no continues, etc.) but also add a new easy difficulty so new players or fans of the new RE games can play it without having a fit.

Which Resident Evil game would you like to see remade on the Wii U?

Which one? RE2 of course.

And the HD version of RE4 that they released on the other consoles would not hurt either.

I will comment in this thread, never being able to find it again.

DudeSean

@sinalefa RE2 would be nice since I missed out on that one.

I wasn't aware of RE4HD, so I looked it up and saw that Code Veronica got an HD re-release as well, so yes, it would be great if they released both of those on the eShop. I mean, the games are already made, so they would just have to be ported and given the lack of games on Wii U I think they would both sell well. Probably more Code Veronica since RE4 already released on Nintendo's last two consoles. Does RE4HD have online mercenaries? Because that's something they should definitely add in RE4HD for Wii U if not. Also, update the controls, again, if not already added, to have Revelaitons style controls.

As a huge fan of the earliar games in the series.. I think my favorite will always be RE3:Nemesis. There's just something terrifying about the potential of Nemesis being around every corner. It really kept me on your toes. I think it was harder than the first couple RE's as well.

I would gladly except any RE remake for the Wii U though. I've never got around to playing RE:0 so maybe that would be a good choice.

I actually haven't played RE3, either, but I've heard nothing but good things. RE0, I think, could be a great remake for the Wii U. It would be great if it were exclusive, too, since the original was.

Resident Evil 2 with the Resident Evil 4 style.

Though, let's face it, that'd be a multiplat available on everything else.

I own a PS1, GBA, GBA SP, Wii (GCN), 360, 3DS, PC (Laptop), Wii U, and PS4.
I used to own a GBC, PS2, and DS Lite

This. Although since I don't have a Wii U I'd like to see it come to PS4 and X1 as well. I think every RE fan no matter what console they own deserves a chance to play an RE 2 remake should it ever happen. Of course, I'd also be very afraid that the current Capcom would mess the game up somehow.

It's not like they could do a Silent Hill 2+3 HD. Or could they?

An RE1 remake for Wii U should get co-op as well. Have a one-player or two-player mode. One player mode would play just like the original and two player mode would create a third story change so that Jill and Chris are together, and maybe Barry gets lost or something. Co-op should be one player on tv and one on gamepad. The game would have to be able to have two rooms loaded at once, though, so the two players don't have to stay together. It would be cool to see how quick two players could beat RE1 if they spread out.

@DudeSean

I have no idea why Capcom does not release those games on Wii U. Also Street Fighter III, Super SF 2 Turbo and Super Puzzle Fighter. There is no excuse that the Wii can't do HD anymore or that Wiiware is too small. We got Chronicles of Mystara, why not the other ones?

Same goes for Sega and its Dreamcast rereleases in HD.

I agree completely. Give Wii U games, gauge the Wii U audience and make some money in the process. Seems like a win-win to me.

Since RE4, I have wanted a remake of 0-3/CV but in the style of RE4. I think the original stories should be playable with all the difficulties of saving and ammo but to pander to the modern crowd they could have extra character's stories like playing as HUNK or someone running through the locations cleaning up with much more ammo.

I only posted this to get my avatar as the forum's thumbnail.

Classic RE should stay Classic RE.

It may not seem like it, but the tank controls and fixed points of view are a big part of the experience and changing those aspects would make it more than a remake.

Just what the Wii U needs a remake. Honestly I rather see something new rather then a remake. If I wanted to play older games well I have older systems for that.

What if 1 screen showed the classic camera and the other screen showed the new camera? Maybe add an option to select a primary veiw that makes sure the controls match the prefered camera... just an idea

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

It's disappointing to know that The Evil Within wont be coming to WiiU which looks to be the successor to the classic RE series

For me, it felt that the last few RE games for Wii focused too much on fitting the game around the new controls rather than giving us a good game first THEN working out the controls second. All they needed to do is release RE 5 & 6 in HD then port the menu / map to the game pad.

Please help a Wii U Exclusive game come to life.

Oohh what about a classic RE with fixed point of view and where game pad functioned as an always-there menu/inventory except when you are aiming your weapon, then it becomes a first person view of the fixed scene on the tv screen and you can aim with it and shoot at stuff (but the TV still looks like classic RE).

To use your items you would need to stop shooting and focus on the touch screen and it would be tense.
