As if Resident Evil hasn't gotten bad enough, this game rolls out. I don't see what everyone is looking forward to, the survival horror without the survival or the horror, or the wonderful QTEs that everyone enjoys so much.

The moment that Capcom said they wanted the COD audience to come over to RE was the moment I said "I'm done" I didn't look forward to RE:ORC and so far I'm not looking forward to RE6.

I was very excited for RE 6 when we first saw the teaser trailers, but after seeing some gameplay, it's not looking so hot. It appears like they added new stealth elements into the mix, pair that with an extra helping of QTE and suddenly I have a new appreciation for Resident Evil Revelations.

Ha, implying that the story in Resident Evil was ever anything else.

And I'm ticked that the PSN port of Resi 4 doesn't have Move controls. The Wii version had pointer controls, so why not keep that same control setup for the PSN version?

Why not just play it on the Wii then? Its the best version.

I think every Nintendo gamer wants this on the Wii U.

I'd rather they do Revelations 2 for the 3DS first.

@Waveboy
Oh, I can't argue that the stories have progressively gotten worse as the series has aged. The plot in the later games have been adding layers upon layers that go nowhere and accomplish nothing. I'm just saying the story lines have always been pretty hokey.

So uh, is there anything and mean ANYTHING in RE6 that goes beyond shooting Sh**?
There doesn't seem to a puzzle in sight....Not to mention Zero items outside of Ammo and I'm guessing keys. I don't like to just run and shoot, i need a balance of everything in my RE. Backtracking, tons of items, unique puzzles, saving ammo like diamonds ect ect and RE6 just seems to be a mindless heavy action run and gun zombie romp. Leon's Scenario seems like the only thing about the game at least visually that harkens back to the RE of old as far as amtosphere goes 'and' of course the return of Zombies. Still extremely excited nonetheless, after all this 'is' Resident evil and I'm dieing to find out what happens with the characters.

Silly Wave, backtracking, unique puzzles, saving ammo like diamonds are for games of yesteryear. Games of today are all about shoot now and ask questions never!

this is the best possible thing:

I played the demo last night and it's fairly fun, but the controls have convinced me that dual analog is a major step backwards. It's a little clumsy at first and even after adjusting to the new controls I couldn't stand aiming that way. I'm waiting to hear about a wii u version before i consider buying the game for sure.... it was at least scarier than anything in resident evil 5, and a lot of the environments look like they were pulled straight from resident evil 2 and 3.

Because Capcom said Resi 6 was probably not coming to WiiU (could be standard PR), I'd be happy with it on the PC.

That is if it isn't a shoddy port, and Capcom ruin it by releasing it on steam, and then inflicting GFWL on it.

...

Looks like I'll hold out for that WiiU version.

And regarding that Conan vid, I was coming into this thread to share the very same video!

they never said it wasn't, they just said they were focused on the PS360 and PC versions. they actually said they just started on the PC version full time now that the console versions are done, so the PC version had to wait in line behind the consoles and the wii u version is even further behind that. i'm sure it will be released on wii u next year, though.

i'm torn between PC and wii u. i know PC will have better graphics but i can't stand keyboard and mouse and would have to use a 360 controller. i'm holding out hope that the wii u version will support the remote, but based on what i'm seeing there's no move support in the PS3 version. if they're not programming a move scheme then they'll almost certainly not support the wiimote, especially not after adding all the gimmicks for the gamepad's touchscreen.

resident evil 6 shipped 4.5 million copies in one day. holy crap. skyward sword didn't even sell that much in one month. capcom expect it to become their best selling game ever: http://www.technobuffalo.com/gaming/platform-gaming/resident-...

goodbye forever, survival horror! no matter how much critics hated it, capcom will never stop pushing action now. at least this probably guarantees a wii U port.

Played the demo for this game, absolutely hated it. For one, the game was WAY too dark, and I made sure to check the brightness setting test on the first screen of the demo, and I am using the same TV with the same settings I used with Resident Evil 4. Could barely see anything at some points when I was inside during Leon's level, had to rely on my partner to shoot when a zombie got close at points.

And then, the end of Leon's campaign, two MINUTES of quicktime events. Just awful, completely unnecessary and not fun in the slightest...

And Chris's just felt like a sub-standard third person shooter. Nothing I can really say apart from it feels like Call of Evil...

Didn't even play the other campaign which I hear is a mixture of the two, had enough by then...

Copies shipped =/= Copies sold.

capcom think so, they're expecting 7 million sold. i was hoping the bad reviews would force the series back to horror, but the game has clearly been a big success even if a lot of people think it sucks. there is a bit of hope in this ign interview some of capcom's developers did after the release. they apparently said they'd probably go back to the older style, but it's full of spoilers... i still haven't played the game and tried to listen anyway, i had at least 2 endings and a bunch of plot twists ruined for me within a minute. only listen if you've played the game or don't care about the story at all:
