I thought that the Wii version of Resident Evil 4 was by far the best version. By sacrificing movement while shooting it separated aiming from camera movement, getting rid of the deadzone problem many Wii shooting games had. Then they came out with Resident Evil 5 and I was disappointed to see that they chose graphics over gameplay. There is no motion controller on the Xbox 360 that could do for Resident Evil what the Wiimote did, and releasing a Move version isn't going to work either because no one actually bought that peripheral. I played through a co-op campaign with a friend all the way through and using a controller just didn't flow as well. With the Wii U on the horizon though, they could have their awesome graphics and motion controls just like RE4! Since RE5's kind of old now though, it may be a better idea to release a bundle of some sort with 5 and 6. I mean, they already made motion controls for the move, which isn't that different from a Wii Remote, they know how to make motion controls for the Wii already, and RE6 uses the same engine. Anyone else hoping this happens?

Yes would be awesome!

But as of now RE6 seems to take much time. They just released it for the Hd consoles ps3 and xbox.
So capcom has much to keep up. Two releases are missing out there for two other platforms.
Maybe a WiiU version will land in 2013 or 2014. Time will tell.

Well, I have no problem with RE5 or RE6 coming to the Wii U, but I for one don't like to use motion controls for shooting games. I tried a bit of RE4 on Wii, and I prefer a standard controller. Plus, with Resident Evil games, the shooting isn't supposed to super precise and tight, and with the Wii version, it made it very easy to pull off head shots one after another.

RE5 was great in my honest opinion, and I don't think it was ruined because it didn't use motion controls. I wouldn't be surprised if RE6 eventually shows up on the Wii U, but I doubt we'll see a re-release of Resident Evil 5. But who knows.

I loved RE4 on the Wii. I played RE5 on the PS3 (standard controls), thought it was decent, and would possibly give it another shot on the Wii U if it had motion controls. I hope RE6 comes to the Wii U though which I am sure it most likely will knowing Capcom.

Wasn't impressed with RE5 seemed like a much lesser version of 4 with annoying AI, if 6 is going the same route which it kinda seems to be I'll pass.

According to a lot of reviewers, RE 5 and 6 stunk, so I don't think we will be missing out on too much if we don't get them.

So, you are saying your tastes in game are accurately reflected by reviewers? Anyway, I liked RE5 for the most part despite some of the negative reviews and perception. Also, since when is a score of 7.9 by IGN considered stinky?

I'd definitly take a dip back into RE5 if it ends up supporting pointer controls on the Wii U. I was one of the unlucky ones who got the inferior PS3 version of RE5...Which boasted Soft graphics, flat terrible contrast, slowdown and missing effects(This was also reported in a giant RE5 XBOX Vs PS3 IGN article and they hit the nail on the head) in comparison to the gorgeous razor sharp and sculpted looking XBOX 360 version. Hell, RE4 on my 'Wii' impressed me more graphically than the PS3 version of RE5. :p But that's most likely because of the sharper graphics(it doesn't matter if RE5 is 720p, it looked super soft and flat, especially the cut scenes.) and normal contrast levels.

I also feel that RE4, artisticly is superior, not in terms of graphical power obviously, but everything just meshed better from a level design standpoint in 4, where as 5 just seems a bit lazy, uninteresting, ameture and pretty barren in comparison a lot of the time. 5 just isn't crafted nearly as well...Overall, i like and hate RE4 & 5 for different reasons. I still can't decide which game i favor more.

As for RE6, i'm still extremely excited to play it....But not on the PS3, OR with dual analog controls. It's totaly unlike me to not get a new RE game on it's release date but i will wait this one out for the inevitable Wii U release....Let's just hope Capcom doesn't just stick to the Wii U game Pad/Pro and not give us those amazing pointer controls as seen in RE4. I want an evolution in controls, not a step back with analog stick aiming on the Game Pad or Pro controller....

Also, IGN gave RE6 a 7.9(Their new rating system looks nasty..Hell the sites design overall looks way too minimal and boring now. Inject some color in the background instead of the boring grey for crying out loud to at least depict which console/page your on. IGN looked A LOT better a couple of years ago. But yup, it seems like they ditched their new .5 rating system and went back to their classic 'out of 100' With the infamous 7.9 striking again. :p Where as the goober heads at GameSpot gave RE6 a 4.5....Which i just can't take seriously...It can't be THAT bad can it? It seems like RE6 is loaded with those
lame and unintuitive boring quick time event sequences, and it has you replaying certain parts of the game more than once, possibly being just a cheap way of extended the game. Either way, I'm all for it! :p I'm going in with an open mind. If anything, at least Leon's scenario harkens back to the old traditional RE mold which makes this dudeskie super happy.

Let me guess, J Stirling was the reviewer? :p While i enjoy his reviews, he can't be trusted. Jonathan Homes however from Destructoid is possibly the most entertaining, interesting, and greatest video game reviewer on the net. I can't praise that man enough. Best Mega Man 9 review on the Web period.

Metascore of 77 means the game stunk?

You're saying you're tastes arn't? then I don't see how you like Resident Evil 5, because it got a score of 83 and 88 I think on metacritic for Xbox360 and PC respectivly, on games I own, I find I do tend to agree with the metacritic score more often than to.

Yeah thats nice, meanwhile the Xbox360 version sits at 67, and the fan rating sits at 0.4.
I certainly wasn't expecting that... Edit: oh wait, it changed to 0.5, and now has just under 2500 negative ratings... Something seem fishy about that...

I'm saying I don't want to play every 90+ game reviewed or give up on a game from a series I like because it got a couple of below average scores. So yeah, my tastes vary from reviewers.
