Well, duh. B-)

But do they trash-talk CoD and GTA? Damn right they do, just go take a look at any IGN or YouTube comments section.

I will say though, the fanboy wars seem a lot more intense between Xbox fans and Sony fans than Nintendo fans vs. them both. I remember times when both versions of Modern Warfare 2 and FF13 were user-rated 4/10 on IGN... with thousands upon thousands of reviews that were 100% troll material.

I made Kid Tripp! PocketGamer gave it a 9 out of 10! You should totally buy it now!

There's an article on IGN on games for Kinect. You know, a handful are really interesting to me. Go down to comments, some guy who must be a fan of 360 said "Kinect has nothing good" and following that, an obvious PS fanboy saying "Just like the entire library of Xbox".

I decided to be a and say "If you say Xbox's library is lacking, then that must mean PS3 is too. Saying this is as ridiculous as your comment lol"

There's obviously more, even 'worse' examples. I really don't understand the whole fight between PS3 and 360 gamers when the games they are playing are pretty much the same (same game, different console is what I mean).

It's entertaining to watch, but at the same time, those folks are really stupid.

I was severely disappointed in this years E3...Not E3 itself actually, but the gaming industry as a whole...the only thing that didn't disappoint me was Nintendo.
The reason why I was so disappointed is because almost every game shown this E3 was a Shooter game. Soul-less, art-less, un-innovated, class-less, repetitive shooter games......and everyone loved them....I AM SO TIRED OF THESE F****** GAMES! D:<. I was so tired of these games for such a long time until one game came out that saved me from my fear of the gaming industry staying Shooters for a long time and not a single game coming out that was good and not a Shooter. That game was Monster Hunter Tri.

On-Topic

I hope Graphics don't get too real. I hope Nintendo stays at that graphic level as Nintendo is the only company left that actually knows what video games are.

Agreed. Souless, Art-less, uninovative and repetitive are the perfect words....And add in 'depressing' while you're at it.
If NIntendo magically vanished and we lived in a world with just Playstation and Xbox I wouldn't even be a gamer. My Passion would strictly be for film.

Please note that Brink, Bulletstorm, some random shooter from THQ and a few others are not shown.

But at the end of the day. It's all the same s**t.

But BF3 is going to win.. I hope :3

I'd be interested in Dead Island, but it's most likely going to be another Left 4 Dead. I hate mindless shooting....I want puzzles to solve, back tracking, saving amunition wisely.....Oh wait.....RESIDENT EVILLLLLL B-)

Anyways, i don't give a rats for 90% of these american developers. Looking at my 30 something wii collection. The only american developer-based titles i have are Punch-Out!!(amazing!) Excitebots(Bug nuts awesome!), Dead Space: Extraction, A Boy & his Blob and Silent Hill: Shattered Memories(such a weak SH, but the wii pointer controls are flippin' fantastic and unique involving yet simplistic pointer controller puzzles are ace!)

But yup! Wayforward and Next level are the only American developers I keep an eye out for, then again....Isn't half of Retro Studios based in texas and the rest are at Nintendo in Japan?

The funny thing is, if you were to show this to your average 8-15 year old gamer, they would most likely say: "This looks great! I can't wait to play all of these M-rated games on my X-box 360/PS3!"

This is a signature.

1. Dead Island is an open world zombie game with quests and stuff and could possibly have some great story elements.
2. There's still some fighting games, racing games and Western RPGs at least. Sometimes.
3. For the rest, yeah if I want to play indy games, I'll probably just go on the internet.
4. Your post is still mostly true.

Indeed, I was talking to one of the 9 year olds at a day care I work at and he kept talking to me about Dead Rising 2 and Assassin's Creed Brotherhood (although he did tell me something I didn't know about Dead Rising 2 since I had just started it) but after that I was like "So is there anything you play that ISN'T bloody and violent?" and he was like "No." The 12 year old beside me started laughing. It's like whenever people find out I have an XBox 360 first question they ask is "You play COD?" and I'm like "EWWW! Hell no!" lol

Dark Souls
Final Fantasy XIII-2
Tomb Raider
Uncharted 3
Darksiders 2
Batman: Arkham Asylum
Assassin's Creed
Neverwinter
BloodRayne
Skyrim
Journey

And that's not including games that have already come out, and Nintendo's games.

Even as sarcasm that image is an utter failure. There are heaps and heaps and heaps of AAA-grade games that are not shooters.

ah, but how many of those will sell more than even one of the shooters named? (Journey's likely gonna make Dead Space Extraction look like RE4 in terms of sales)

So it'll be like stupid people buying NSMBWii instead of Little King's Story and Muramasa. Makes sense to me actually.

Call of Duty aside (nothing can beat that franchise's sales) - Assassin's Creed, Skyrim, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Tomb Raider, Uncharted 3 and Batman are all going to be blockbusters that sell at least as well as something like Dust 514, Prey, Dead Island and the like.

Or at least I'd hope so. If the top 10 PS3/ Xbox 360 game sales for 2011 are all FPSers, with the quality of other games available, I'm going to give up this hobby.

Why would you care what games other people buy?

I play the games I like, I assume everyone else does. While I do have an opinion, really I couldn't care what everyone else plays.

Will you stop listening to music if people continue to listen to songs you don't like? :)
