Topic: Renaming the Wii U

There's a rumour that the Wii U will be rebranded because people think it's just a Wii with a new controller. What do you think it should be called?

I just want it to be called GameCube something, I don't know...maybe GameCube Advanced, GameCube2, GameCube squared (with a little 2 as a pun). Anyway, what do YOU want it to be called?

Why would you want it to be called anything GameCube? There's no reason for Nintendo to go back to that name.

I just really like the GC and I think it's a fitting name for a console

It's like I was summoned here like Cap'n Planet. I do love the name Super Wii Entertainment System. That names just rocks my SilverHawks socks.

@Fang: It's cool. I don't know if they will lock this or not but one thing for sure is a lot of people are not feelin' the name Wii U.

The Wii U is more powerful than any other home console currently on the market. If anything, the 360 and PS3 are firewood.

From a marketing stand-point, I think they'll want to keep the name simple like they did with Wii. That is supported by their initial name of Wii U. Nintendo hasn't had a console or handheld with a name that is more than 3 letters/numbers since 2006, and I don't think they are going back.

Personally, I like Nintendo Revolution. It's simple, not as simple as Wii, but simple enough. It gets the message across. It's the best proposition I've heard. I don't think Nintendo will use it, but it is better than Wii U imho.
