Women will never understand men and their desire to have the ultimate or just an awesome Movie and gaming set up. I'm obviously not saying all, but you could give a girl a 32" LCD and she'd be perfectly happy. I'm a big horror movie film buff so a big screen is a must...who 'wouldn't' want a 50" plasma for movies and to game on?.... Am i missing something here?lol

Anyways, that aside. I can't seem to notice the difference between a 720p and a 1080p PS3 game on my 42" 1080p LCD at 9 feet away. I'm guessing if you move in closer the difference becomes apperant pixel-wise. Plus, the fact that it's an LCD, it just blurs the detail anyhow VHS style for first or 3rd person titles plus Racers which are the worst genre's period to play on an LCD....Ya, great craptastic tecnology. Super OLED can't come fast enough! LCD only looks perfect when the screen is static and nothing is moving. lol sigh* Which is why they make for a great computer monitor.

I thought this was confirmed at E3. The Wii U will output games in 1080p. This was the one thing Reggie kept repeating at E3 about Wii U's specs.

Wii U can output up to 1080p but as we've seen with other HD consoles not everything will always be 1080p; there'll be 720p games too.

I disagree about all 4 examples (well, I guess it's true about tablets, but that doesn't interest me, unless it's e-ink technology or something. Smartphones I prefer others, laptops I never even considered a Mac, and never will nor have I ever felt a reason to, and music players I would still love to use a Creative Labs one and still do at times, even though with smartphones, it's all obsolete), and I don't find their products beautiful in any way. You're right that they have a low fail-rate, which is because they manufacture and handle almost everything on their own. This also drives the price up and also creates closed environments. How is not overpriced when they actually expect you to pay hundreds of dollars for more memory when an SD card would have cost you less than $20? It's stealing, that's what it is. I think the 3DS is quite beautiful, and the Wii even more though... Anyway, most Apple's products have superior competitors. Samsung is way past Apple in their quality, in the 4G, in graphics etc. And they cost about the same.

That's because they're weaker systems. I remember Reggie saying that 1080p will be the standard, and it makes sense I think, because the console can do it steadily.
