You will need to contact Nintendo about that

You cannot redownload games on a different system.

Unfortunately Superjoon, Nintendo hasn't set up the WiiU yet to be purely account-based, but they are working on it. Purchases are still tied to the console right now.

Yeah I am afraid that you will need to purchase all your games again since its a different system. YOu can try contacting Nintendo and tell them your problems they might be able to help that thats the only thing really you can do.

There was a particular Wii U user who experienced this kind of situation before. An article was written about it where that particular Wii U user ended up calling Nintendo & was given download points to redownload the games he owned plus extra download points for inconvenience.

SuperJoon

Thanks for the advice! Will get in touch with Nintendo and see if theres anything they can do!

Yea, definitely get in touch with Nintendo. It's amazing what you can accomplish with a little bargaining over the phone.

may i ask why you got rid off the first one?

put it on.

SuperJoon

Financial issues and at the time I would have been able to make my money back on it, so seemed the obvious choice. But now all is good and I miss my Wii U

The Nintendo ID is a joke. You don´t have any downloads in your account, only in your memory system (it is the same as the Wii).

Me gusta jugar videojuegos. Soy de México. Sorry my english grammar. I love the Virtual Console, party and fighting games too.

Nintendo is working on fixing that

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Why the heck did you already get rid of the first one when you hadn't even had it for a year???
