Should things be moving to NX like many are predicting, we are left with a console with an alarming lack of games. Besides, obviously, VB, it has to be the fewest amount of games a console has ever had, with such an overwhelming percent first party. Add to this the fact that so many people still don't seem to realize it is a different console than the Wii with different games.. On top of both these facts, it's life cycle was so short that it would be strange to make another Smash, Kart, etc. so quickly.
My solution? Make NX backwards compatible and rebrand the first party Wii U games with NX packaging. At launch time have the new Zelda and 3D Mario collectathon ready, and suddenly you have a ton of great games available at lineup, and many consumers probably would never even realize the majority of it started on a console they barely even knew about.
