Topic: Rayman legends or wonderful 101!??

I know each one is a different type of game. But I can only afford one right now. Which would you guys recommend? I have played both and enjoyed each one so it is a tough decision.

Hard to tell...I'm buying both anyways. Flip a coin.

Would love to be able to do that. But I won't until the end of the month have enough for more. But then Zelda comes out so another $50 for that.

try out both demos. and ask advice from close friends, and family, since they both have multiplayer modes. and finally if you're still stuck, look up how much, and what kind of content each have. hope I could help!

Watch the NintendoLife videos posted today of the 3 Rayman stages. The answer is Rayman. It is absolutely gorgeous and honestly looks like the best platformer ever made.

I went with Legends...kinda wished I had way to just rent 101...but oh well.

Rayman Legends, for a few reasons.
1. It is one of like 4 or 5 games so far this year that is so universally liked that it has a 90+ on Metacritic (I'm not one to use that as a major reason, but that still says a lot to me).
2. The amount of content in the game seems to be insane, especially for a platformer.
3. Supporting it is for the best for Nintendo for the long run, while sadly 101 is probably doomed to fail no matter what but hurts nothing unless the same happens to Bayonetta 2.
4. Despite enjoying the creativity of the Wonderful 101 demo and the videos I've seen, even if the game is as good as the higher rated reviews have talked about, I doubt it will be as good as Rayman Legends. This is both because of what I played of Rayman Legend demo/challenge app and also the fact that I thought Origins was pretty great yet Legends somehow seems much better.

Financially, I'd pick up W101 first, since Rayman is more likely to drop in price in the next 3-6 months. Most Ubi games tend to plummet in value.

I'd go with the Wonderful 101. New IPs like this need all the support they can get if they're made with earnest care, and this one is shaping up to be a real winner. Rayman Legends is fun, yes, but Rayman will stick around if initial sales falter.

I'm in love with Legends...but I'm disappointed with W101. It's just not as fun as I was hoping. Rayman is also WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYY more fun with 5 players than W101 is. I really wanted to enjoy W101 but I just can't.

Man I get annoyed with people being fastidious about which threads to use. Jeez what a big deal!

On topic: I love 'em both but have to go with Legends. It's amazing.

The big deal is that the forums would look very messy and it would be hard to find anything with a hundred Which Game Should I buy or Should I buy game A or game B threads. That is what the big deal is.

Personally, I think this thread works better, as it compares two games — not a thread that basically discusses every WiiU game, wouldn't you agree? He's not asking "What should my first WiiU game be out of all of them" only comparing two. Just my two cents. Also correct me if I am wrong, but usually when there is a duplicate thread, don't you just lock them instead of deleting them? We would see how many were created when trying to sort through forums anyway (Unless you guys have a variable to hide that from the search). I know it would go a few pages deep anyway due to the awesome popularity of this website. =)

And yeah, it's a very tough decision. I would play the Wonderful 101 and Rayman Legends demos and see which you think is more fun for you at the time. If it were ME personally and I had to choose, I'd probably side with Rayman Legends, as I've always been a huge Rayman fan (And loved Origins). Up to you though — can't go wrong with either!
